Binatog is a perfect snack for folks every morning or anytime of the day. It has just a few ingredients, boiled corn kernels that are intentionally overcooked so that they are literally bursting out of their skins (also has the result of puffing up of corn), sugar grated coconut and evaporated milk. To make, the vendor starts by taking out a clean plastic cup and scooping out some boiled corn, then he adds a little bit of grated coconut and a touch of sugar, tops the cup up with more corn, sprinkles more sugar on top and adds evaporated milk. If you want to eat it immediately he gives you a spoon and you can munch away. Binatog actually is one of my favorite food on my childhood days and even now. But lately I notice that it's hard to find a Binatog vendors nowadays Do you like to eat Binatog too?

I also like binatog, but I haven't tried it with evaporated milk or any kind of milk. I normally eat with a bit of salt, I've tried once with sugar but I don't really like it, although I don't mind eating it with sugar. I also noticed that's it's hard to find binatog, sometimes we have to go to the market just to buy this.

Oooooohhhhh!!!! I miss binatog soooo much! I used to buy this everytime the vendor would pass by our house in Pasig when I was a kid. Now that we live in Antipolo, I seldom see binatog vendors so I really miss it. I also love buying palitaw and bibingka. Yummmmmmy!!!!

I like to eat binatog, too. Too bad It's been a while since I've found anyone peddling it on the streets. My wife especially loves binatog. Whenever she would hear a binatog peddler approaching, she would immediately send me out to buy some. Now that I have a baby daughter, maybe she will get to like binatog too when she grows older.

Oh, the first time I tasted this was last August when we were at Tiendesitas. It was nice I guess. But I would not exchange my corn kernel stuff over binatog. :D

Yes, I just love it especially during merienda! Yummy!!! but I've notice, the Binatog vendor in our place comes very seldom. I'd be waiting for it for 3 to 5 days. When I asked the vendor, he told me that it was not as hit as it was before because there are many "easy to cook foods" and food stalls nowadays.
