Can you believe anything anymore?

It is not just politics, but it certainly includes it. Can you really trust the polls that say this candidate is ahead or that one is? We do not live in a country where people who have the positions to report news or information, can be objective? They report their opinion and make it the news. The polls are no different. After the debate, it was the same. This one won that one won. The commmentators who are given the position to say who won, always say the person who won is the one they are for. Is there such a thing as truth out there?

I do not believe the polls, nor do I take the word of any commentator who proclaims victors in debates. I don't expect the truth from any candidate, even the ones I support. I expect more from my particular candidate, but sad to say, in any country these days we will never get the whole truth. I'll believe what I know to be true and question the word of any so-called 'expert'.

I have always been the type of person to take everything with a grain of salt. Most ppl will read something and swear it's true or deny it's true b/c they don't like it. Now if I see something, like BO talking about disarming our country, and I see the words coming out of his mouth...that I'll believe. It's hard to say he didn't say that when the words are coming right out of his mouth. It's that way with all of them...when I see them saying it...then I believe it. Other than that, it's just newsprint and everyone knows how things can be exaggerated, embelished or outright lied about. As my Hubby learned working as an officer for the prison system and he has taught me too: TRUST BUT VERIFY! **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

Funny you should ask, after the phone call I just finished. it was really something, the discussion an American friend and I had. My two best friends, completely divided by politics, but still really good friends just the same, and me, a Canadian who knows, but doesn't know what the Americans know. Everyone is trying to slam everyone else (the parties, I'm not talking about my friends here) and it's gotten so bad that who knows what to believe anymore?

I am finding it very hard too.. There is so much competition and debating going on, until my head is swarmed.. I believe Obama.. But, I just don't believe in all the bickering that is going on. It is confusing me on whom is right or wrong..
