Gallery Exhibition! Waiting For A Call!

I entered 3 of my photos in a local juried exhibition! They only have space to hang somewhere from 80-100 photos, and around 300 total photos were entered! Today the judge is going through all of the entries and selecting which ones will be included in the gallery exhibition, and which ones won't. Tonight the gallery will be calling all of the photographers who are included in the show.
I'm really nervous! I hope at least one of my photos are selected! There are cash prizes awarded to Best In Show, 1st place, 2nd place, 3rd place and several honorable mentions will be chosen. But right now I'm just really hoping my photos make it in the show! I'll find out tonight!
When I dropped my photos off at the gallery yesterday, I got to take a look at maybe 10-20 of the entered photos. A lot of them are really good! It's going to be some tough competition!

Do you get nervous or anxious when you enter your photos in competitions? Have you ever had any photos on display in a gallery exhibition?

I usually chicken out before entering my photos into competitions. I don't know why, but I just do.
Anyways, good luck!! Being that they are using a third of the photos received, I think you have a really great shot at being chosen. Also, good luck in winning a cash prize, too. I'm sure that would be like the icing on the cake =)

None of my photos were chosen. :( I'm pretty bummed. I'm mostly bummed that I spent a lot of money printing, framing and matting my photos... and they didn't even go in the show. Oh well. There will always be other shows and contests. You just gotta keep at it!
