My internship went awesome!

Okay so my internship went really well yesterday. It was from 10:00 am to 3:30 pm. So yesterday was my first day after some confusion last week. My boss gave me a brief tour of the floor where I will be working at. There's this little closet where there is the coffee machine for the employers, which now includes me. Hallelujah! And then the bathroom has this cute little red couch inside to lay down. So it went really well and I just found out that Bush was there visiting it last Wednesday. Even if I don't agree with most of the stuff that he does I would have loved to meet him and get a picture. But oh wells. And I also found out that the President from the Dominican Republic, that is where I was born, has visited that place too. So I just did normal stuff yesterday, like seperate his mail into piles so he could look over it. Then I had to clean my desk and get rid of stuff and make it look tidy. And then I had to make some labels for some people that had to come to an event and put them on the brochures and seal the brochures. And then I had to work on some letters like changing some names and print them out so that they could get faxed to wherever. And then I started to make a list of the next batch of people that I would have to sent more brochures to. It's not a tough job. One of the perks is that this Society deals with Literature. So I am working in the Department of literature and there are these four boxes full of books that are to be donated or people can just take them home. I took a book yesterday and started reading it. So i'm having fun and I go back on Thursday and start doing labels and sealing more brochures. So another awesome thing is that since I want to be a writer and get my books published this job is perfect for me so that I can learn how to bet them published. So thanks for listening to me talk on and on about myself. Now has anything cool happened to you guys this week?

This job has a lot of potential for me because I could learn a lot from the people that work there. I'm hoping that after I finish this internship I'm invited to stay and work there part time or something like that which would be really awesome.

I hope you're writing these things down that you're doing so that you have a list of skills and abilities for future employment. Also so you can tailer your future resumes. Sometimes if you don't, when you leave a job, esp. years later, you forget what you did that is related to what a new employer wants. Sounds like you have a very nice internship. What would be cool for me might not be cool for you. I was able to get 8 new customers and retain my hours for my job for another month. I read and posted about an article on how to keep crops from freezing. I started back exercising and that includes Martial Arts as well as general fitness and hopefully some dancing. I've gotten lots of food given to me and processed a lot of it. I finally finished an article for Helium about the uses of Milkweed. Take care and good luck with this Saturday and all your Saturdays to come.

Yeah I really like this internship. I'll probably start doing more and more stuff as the days go by. Believe it or not what you did sounded pretty cool. That article you read sounds pretty interesting but I wouldn't really put it to use because I live in NYC. That actually reminds me. I haven't really exercised in a long time and I need to start up again. I'm a member of Helium and I haven't written an article for them in a long time so I should probably write one for them. With that site it's not really about the money anymore because I don't even really make that much on there. It's about improving my writing every time that I write an article for them. I hope you have a wonderful week.

Awwww! That is so cute. I smiled when I read that. And yeah I'm excited over the books. There are many books there and aside from those four books they are always getting new books that they will probably put inside those boxes to be donated. thanks for dropping in and take care. ^_^

Hello ayumitakashi. Congratulations on completing the first day of your internship. It sounds like a day that isn't too long, which is nice. Wow, a red couch in the bathroom, cool! It must be a pretty interesting place if 2 presidents have visited it. You have already done several tasks for them. That's great. Being able to take free books is quite the perk! I can't think of anything really cool that's happened lately. Well, I did sell 2 articles on Helium over the past couple of weeks, so I was excited about that. Take care.

Oh no it's not too long. It's only five and a half hours. The couch is really cute so If I get tired or drowsy or something I'm going to go and lay there for a while. The free books and the learning experience that I will get are the best perks ever from working there. I think that's pretty exciting. I've never sold an article in Helium so that must feel really good. I haven't written in a while but I'll probably try and write an article soon. Thanks for dropping bye and take care.
