I am a big believer in live and let live. I try to be an open minded person. I think that "my way" is not the only way and the differences we have in our lives is what makes this world so great. I mean who would want everyone to be exactly like them? I think that would be so boring. But I do wonder is there such a thing as being too open minded? There has to be restrictions and boundaries somewhere don't you think? Things that you feel that others do that cross the line of humanity, what do you think?

i always try to be an open minded person. but i also realize that i can't please everyone. i have my own interest and point of view, there are times when i have to stick with what i believe in. being too open minded will only make you lose yourself.

I think that being open minded has many meanings...the most common being that you are willing to try most anything, even if it's something completely unfamiliar. The thing is, I think that some people mistake openmindedness with compromise. I also think that openmindedness has to be limited to ethical behavior. For example, sharing a discussion with someone who has homicidal tendencies and agreeing with their viewpoints, while openminded, might also be detrimental...and in that instance, maybe that qualifies as being too open minded. Ultimatly though, I think that openmindedness is about the willingness to explore ideas and experiences that are new to you...and I don't think that someone could ever be too openminded when it comes to trying something new. If nothing else, perhaps it will open you mind to something that you will end up enjoying for the rest of your life!

I think it is good to be open minded to a point. You still need to have something you believe in and stand for. Otherwise you just end up wishy-washy with no real opinions of your own and can end up being one of those who people say have no back bone.

I don't know, I think it's good to be open minded to an extent but I agree with you, there definitely needs to be bounderies set at some point because without bounderies there would be no order and without order, things just go haywire and crazy. That's not good for anyone involved if you ask me....

i say live and let live, people should do with their lives what they want, as long as they are not hurting others.
