most of the time i always wash the pots as soon as me and the children have finished eating sometimes if i am in a rush to go somewhere or i simply forget they can be left a little while but never long as i dont like to see a sink full of pots it really annoys me when my hubby has something to eat late at night and leaves the pots in the sink for me to wake up to - there is nothing worse lol!

I'm a clean-as-I-go girl and I try to use as few pots/pans as possible. I finish up once I have eaten so I can do what's left and the dinner dishes at the same time. And I am so with you, nothing will make me more angry than waking up to a dirty kitchen AFTER I have already cleaned it, I'm so bad even a single dish makes me mad! My husband has been known to do that as well.

Immediately! Partly coz of ants... I somewhat have a kitchen where ants just love to come. Yes I'm using the cinnamon remedy(It works!), but ever since I had a pot of leftover food, which I forgot coz I was too tired, invaded by those pesky little creepy crawlers... No pots stays on the stove. Forbidden!(Call it potANTphobia...)

Hubby and I clean up after ourselves right after we're done eating. I don't like leaving dirty dishes in the sink or stove for long periods of time because it looks bad and cluttered like and the food will stick even more, meaning it'll be harder to get off or out of the pan if sat for long periods of time.

I never leave the pots on the stove sitting. Can make them harder to wash. So right after we are done eating i wash them and put them away.

Hmmm, it appears I am one of few who leave things sit:( It does depend alot of the time on what was cooked, how busy dinner time is and how bad of a day I had at work. Usually I will get the pans off the stove before I go to bed, sometimes they might sit there a day. ON very good days after dinner is done so are the dished!!

I usually have them clean right after my family have our dinner. I am lucky because my husband and son clean up after dinner. We don't like our dishes stinking in the sink. We trained our son to put away the dish in the sink. Its better that way than cleaning them yourself.

I do not like dirty dishes in the sink or on the stove. I will wash them as soon as we are done eating. If it is an easy pan, I may even wash it before I sit down to eat. There is nothing worse then dried on food in pots and pans.

That can depend on who takes the turn to do the dishes. Any leftovers get put away right away. Generally, when the pots or pans are empty I set them in the sink to soak. That way nothing hardens on them while we are enjoying our meal. Then either myself or hubby will get to it. Sometimes our daughter (5 years old) will help.

I take the pots off the stove as soon as I am done cooking. I have a glass top stove and it needs to cool off before you clean it and it cools off faster if you take the pots off the stove. I usually just sit them on the counter or in the sink until I am ready to wash them.

Usually, after eating, we clean up the pots together with the other dishes. We didn't leave that too long the pots that we used in cooking, unless, if we think that is better to left the food there than putting it to another container.

I usually put them in the sink right after use and fill them with water to soak them. I only have time to do dishes once a day. This way they'll clean off quickly when I get around to cleaning them.

I am the type of person that likes to keep my kitchen and sink clean at all times. I don't like to procrastinate. Now pots and pans I know can be a pain to deal with because I like to soak them after dinner so it will be easier to clean them up. I usually start with the dishes and the silverware. I don't have a dishwasher but I find it easier and time saving just doing it myself by hand. There are some people I have know who have a dishwasher and I personally find it a waste of my time. I have less stress just putting them in the sink and getting it over with. The pots and pans generally don't stay on the stove for a very long time. They get cleaned and I dry them and put them away. If it is one thing that really bothers me it is pots or pans and dishes with residue on them that sticks and just leaving them sit there is something I am never accustomed to.

I take the pots off the stove and clean them up before I eat. That way, once I am done eating all I have to do is put the plates in the dishwasher. When you let the pots sit there they get harder to clean. If there are leftovers I put them in a container and leave them out in case someone wants seconds but the post are cleaned immediately.

I usually clean up all of the dishes before I put dinner on the table. Mainly because I don't want them waiting on me when I finish eating. After dinner everyone takes their dishes to the sink and it makes for a really quick cleanup. 10-15 minutes tops and we're out of the kitchen!

Honestly, I normally wait until the kids are in bed for the night to tackle the dinner dishes. I put any leftovers away soon after dinner, but the dishes themselves normally sit for about 3 hours. It is just easier to do it all and get it done when there are no kids running around needing attention or arguing.

A lot of times I clean as I go or at least put the pans in the sink to soak. I hate having a dirty or cluttered kitchen so this suits me best.

My wife does the dishes right after dinner. She puts them in the dishwasher, after putting away what ever left overs are in there.

I don't like to leave pots around especially if there is leftovers in them. I try to get the kitchen cleaned up so I can sit down and relax after cooking with the rest of the family. I want to get any leftovers put away so they don't spoil.

I really hate cleaning up, but it's a chore that must be done, so the sooner the better. Once I dish up everything, I would soak the pots and if possible, clean everything before I settle down to eat.

I wash the post after everyone is finished eating. I kinda hate it when I see dirty pots in the kitchen for hours.
