where would you spend it? me, i would put the money on EDUCATION, our children need better schools also, on FOOD and SHELTER, we may not realize it but still a lot of our countrymen are homeless and have no food to eat CREATING JOBS, by encouraging young generation to be businessmen/women with a clear goal in mind PAYING OFF OUR DEBT, it's not only us who have personal debts, but the country is indebted to several other countries....

This is a pretty tricky one. The US government is already in trillions of debt, so to fund this $700billion bale out, it would have to borrow yet more money, most probably from the likes of China! It seems that this maybe a pivotal moment in history, similar to when the power went from our currency, the pound sterling to the US dollar. Could this be the tipping point when the US dollar loses it's status as the international currency of choice? Whatever happens, I think that the US as a whole will become poorer, as a close country, this will also happen to the UK - our currency has declined significantly against the Euro, though not quite as much as the US dollar has. It will probably help us all, if we can endeavour to become less materialistic!

I would split it equally among all Americans. Then the economy could have its boost, because people would have something to spend again, and the areas that need money so much, such as education and health care, would thrive as the money flows as itnt to. Let Wall Street atone for its sins and let the rest of us stop suffering!
