I don't know if I'm being sensitive or complicated but I get really annoyed when people keep asking me, 'Where are you?', 'What are doing?', like I dont mind if they asked me once but if they kept asking me the same question I feel really annoyed and sometimes I just would reply, 'does it matter?, it's not like you are gonna come and visit me even if you know where I am'. I know it's a conversation starter but it's like there's no variation.... Ohh.. Screw it... I just want to know if I am not the only one or am I the only one... ^^

well, it's kinda harsh leaving someone for asking a stupid question but can't help but think about it. eh?

Yes I do, too. I easily gets irritated and annoyed when people ask me stupid questions more than once. I mean, once is bad enough but to second and third it? Come on. There was this school mate of mine who asked me to go with her for nail spa and I said I can't cos I have plans already and then she starts asking me where would I go, with whom, what are we gonna do, and that I'm unfair. What the ---? What is she my girl boyfriend? Like I have to explain myself to her every time. And ever time she does that, I just go on a one liner telling her to go through with her plans and it's not like she can't do anything if I'm not there.
And ever time she does that, I just go on a one liner telling her to go through with her plans and it's not like she can't do anything if I'm not there.

Ooh! And I'll add something. It just happened earlier, same person. Here's how our conversation went (through text):
Me: The movie was okay. Not really scary but it's good. We watched Mirrors.
Her: Ah really? What did you watch?
Me: I said we watched Mirrors.
Her: Oh, not Eagle Eye?
Me: No. Mirrors.
Duh! How many times do I have to repeat MIRRORS??

well those kind of statements are conversation starters as you said
if people ask it repeatedly i do get irritated
but at the same time i am very cautious
i make sure that i don't hurt them
i just make sure that they don't know that i am irritated
and if they are deliberately irritating you
then the acts are extreme

                    i get annoyed sometimes,
i mean once or twice is fine,
but there are people that ask that like, 2,3 times a day
and thats all they talk about...
i mean, whats the point to that?!?!

OMG,not only do stupid questions annoy me like crazy, questions about things people have already asked me a billions time over annoy me also! Like I have a friend who will ask me things and I answer her then she will ask me the same question again over and over again. I have this other friend who is on her soap box preaching to me about this raw food diet she has been on this past week and telling me how I should do it but then I told her MANY time and I have even blogged about it like crazy within this past 6 months that I juice raw veggies daily and eat sprouts and nuts, hence, a RAW FOOD diet! It's like some people don't even pay attention what you tell them and they wonder why you get annoyed with them and they don't understand why you get frustrated with them.. I think they are just plain stupid or have some type of undefined/undiagnosed medical or mental condition or something! I also know somebody that will tell me the same story's over and over again, that drive's me nuts also..lol

when i call my friends, my first words is always "where are you?"
when i call my friends, my first words is always "where are you?" sometimes they will immediately answer it "i am in my office, i am in the library, i am standing in queue in a bank, i am on the way, etc" but there are also times when they sound to prefer not answering. maybe they don't want me know where they are. or they are just irritated with my cliche question. but i don't mean to be annoying actually. i just want to make sure that i am not disturbing them. who know that they are in an important meeting when i call them. so, that's for their goodness.
but, yeah, for other stupid questions, i would prefer not to answer such questions.

hi koharukusumi ohyes,I used to work in our local library and the one stupid question, when I was seen putting books on shelves, do you work here? I wanted to scream, what does it look like, you think I am doing this for freee? and the one where is the childrens section when the du nce is standing beneath the sign saying Childrens section in very large letters.Or the one one I got asked a zillion times a day where are the books Sherlock Holmes wrote? come again, look if you dont know who wrote those go back to school.Or the one where the elegant lady well dressed and supposedly educated asks, how do you find fiction, by number? oh give me a break. I would just say use the computer there it will answer all your questions. Or this one,I am looking for book about a mouse and its about this size and has a tan cover. now I run screaming from the library. page gone beserk. no I really did not do that.

Hm, I have boy/girl twins. One of my favorite questions is whether they are identical twins. Which, by the way, is NOT impossible I have found out, but it's something like a one in 5 million chance.
Anyway, generally I don't get annoyed at stupid questions unless the person should know better. For example a co-worker of mine called and asked me the exact same question she had asked me the week before. Yep I was annoyed. But I answered it and tried to sound not too annoyed!

I will not get irritated as why should we get that feeling or angry because of someone asking those questions. Normally i would answer then busy with something important. And if they still asking again, then i would offer them whether they want to help out or not, normally after that they will not ask again. Unless, sometimes they do need my help, then they will keep asking and told me "Actually... " then no choice, have to swift focus to them if possible. =)

oh yes... i am... i don't like people asking me stupid questions... to me, stupid questions deserve stupid answers... so, if people ask me stupid questions, i will certainly answer them with stupid answers as well... and most of the time they will get shocked when i do that... not that i am being rude, but i just want people to think first before they ask... especially if they are adults... why do God give us brain for??? to think... am i right??? another thing that i don't like is people who ask obvious questions... what i mean is, questions that already have the obvious answers which they shouldn't even bother to ask... take care and have a nice day...

                    hi
Depending on the persons age matters me in responding the question they ask me.For example a kid asks me the same question repeatedly, I try to answer as many times as possible, because kid doesn't know that he is irritating me.If a person of our age asks the sam equestion repeatedly then definetly I get irritated with that person.I think i'm short tempered,so definetely I will get irritated easily....

Yes, I do sometimes especially if I am in a very bad mood or stressed, in those times, when somebody ask me stupid questions, either I snapped at them or just answer them irritatedly. However, if my mood is okay, I answered them nicely and not quite bothered with it despite it is a stupid one.
