Breast Cancer Awareness

Not only is October Breast Cancer Awareness, it's the anniversary of my breast cancer surgery. Between that, chemotherapy and radiation treatments, I'm still here, nine years later! I'm really happy about that! Women, if you don't get a mammogram every year, you're taking too many chances. Don't rely on not having the history or similar risks, because the huge majority of cancer patients had no risk factors at all. Save the tatas and save your life!

I admit, I'm both proud and happy. I do all I can to get people to be aware, and to send every woman I encounter to the mammogram machines. I've known several women who put it off, and they're not among the survivors. Have you been squished lately?

I am happy that you are sharing this with us. I try to check monthly too, I do not have insurance for mammographs for the moment but I am 39, I think maybe a tad young for that? I am not sure, I will search for imformation. i do not know there are groups that give free mammographs tho. Thanks again.

This is nothing to mess with. Especially this month, free mammograms are available in many, many places. Don't put it off, please. The world would be far less pleasant without you!
