If you were a druglord, what methods would u use to make money/stay out of jail?

Totally hypothetical question, in no way am I planning on getting into this business or anything or encouraging it to anyone. I watched American Gangster the other day, and it reminded me of some other gangster favs of mine, New Jack City and King of New York. I thought about all the different methods they were using to make money off the drugs and tricks to keeping away from the cops... So if u were a successful drug lord, what way would u distribute the product and what tricks would u use to keep the police off ur back?
