I am not an Obama supporter, or a McCain supporter. However I don't think that passing laws is necessarily a good judgement point. The fact is the system we have today promotes too much government interference in everything. Passing hundreds of meaningless laws regarding things that the government shouldn't even be involved with is not a positive thing. Creating more laws does not qualify someone for anything politically, for me personally. Most of the laws that are put on the books these days have hidden agendas, and honestly, I think we have too many laws. We should keep it simple and resort back to Constitutional law. Do what you want to make yourself happy, as long as you don't infringe on anyone else's rights. What other law do you need than that?

Not quite sure but he has only been in office for 76 days at the time that he wanted to be President. He has done NOTHING.

I think he wrote some book that Oprah promoted for him and he made a pretty penny on it. That's when she had some problem with a guy that "wanted her to run for president" and she said on one of her shows " Put that energy behind Barak Obama" or something like that.

As I recall Palin's words were something like "He has never passed any major laws or reforms." She never said he hadn't written any laws at all. I believe he passed some ethics reform so people are saying that her statements were incorrect, although the word "major" makes it more of an opinion thing.

Sponsoring or co-sponsoring legislation is not the most important aspect of the job. Looking out for the needs of your constituants, casting your votes based on sound reasoning, being able to reach across party lines when the need is there are all more important than your name appearing on a bill.
