Will the US-India nuclear deal be beneficial to India? If you listen to the left parties, they say it is a sell off. Will it really translate into increased nuclear cooperation and construction of new nuclear power plants in India? What isAmerica getting out of it other than contracts for supply of nuclear parts and technology?

well, many have a lot of different opinion on it. in my view, it doesn't beneficial that much to India. it will only be useful to enhance India reputation among world country's. well, the congress are saying that, we should get the bill because it will be of great help in future. they also say that it will also help in generating a lot of electricity. but, the cost to setup the the machinery and all things require around $20 billion. this a huge amount. and the amount of electricity we get after spending $20 billion is only 3.2% of india electricity. this is very low. if they complete all the hydro electric projects by now, they will be lot cheaper and amount of electricty generated will be large than produced right know.
