If you had light blonde hair, would you dye it purple?

I woke from a nap that I was taking to relieve a pounding headache. Of course mother nature beckoned me to visit the porcelain goddess. Upon opening the door, what did I see? There stood my 16 year old daughter, her once light blonde, waist-length locks, were now a beautiful shade of dark purple. Now mind you I love purple, it is my favorite color, but I the sight of it as my daughter's new haircolor left me speechless.
Would you ever dye your hair purple or what would you say if your child did?

Oh my goodness! I'd never dye my hair purple now, but there was a time (actually, when I was about her age) that I probably would have. I dyed it pink once... it was only one of those wash out colorings though. Glad I'm out of the punk/rebel stage of life!

Well, my oldest daughter, Celisa is now 28 and she has dyed her hair bright red. She said she was close to 30 and hadn't done anything wild like that and wanted to try it. She now has a nose ring too.

She loved her new haircolor. I think she loved the reactions she received from people. This happened a while ago and she did grow out of it. It took her nearly 2 months. She was chosen to be a part of a State music program and her music teacher suggested she may want to tone down the purple. She washed most of it out, and then cut her waist-length hair to just below her shoulders.
