That's a tough one. It's encouraging bad behavior, telling them basically you approve of it. But, if they're going to do it, they'll do it regardless of what you say/think. Is it best to have them doing it in your home where you can supervise rather then somewhere else? I didn't really answer you're question lol.....

No way. At least till now in India in mamy families, it is still the tradition that kids dont drink before their parents even if he is married and have kids of his own. My parents will throw me out of the house if they come to know that I am drinking. It's a bad habit which should not be encouraged.

I think parents should give a morale lesson to their children first and be a good example themselves and afterwards I think it would be the child decission if he should drink or not or/ and how much.

Its not a problem until they are of right age and know responsible drinking...

personally i do not aprove that. But it would be better if they drink in the house. that way you know everything . but if they drink outside, you do not know the company they will be in. it can be worse.
