We never used a mosquito net when I lived in Kuwait. I didn't even know what a mosquito was....I've never seen any there. But in India, we use a mosquito repellant. But I find that keeping the doors and windows closed at dusk works well for me (we live on the 6th floor and the mosquito menace is not as bad as on the lower floors). The only time I've used a mosquito net is when we lived with my in-laws. They prefer it...but I find that mosquitoes tend to get in when I wake up in the middle of the night to use the toilet and then I have to switch on the light and shoo them out. the mosquito repellants seem to work better...but we stopped using them when we thought it wasn't healthy for the kids when they were babies. I don't use any now.

lol...been in Kuwait?? I grew up there. We left in 1999 (if you don't count the time during the invasion). I've been there since I was 2 (before that we were in Bahrain).

Hello iyah. We don't use mosquito nets in our house, as we have few mosquitoes at home, though one or two can be seen sometimes. Once seen, it will disappear from our house very soon. We won't keep it in the house. lol.

I also wonder on that on where does the mosquito came from because in the morning there is none of them but when the night would come in there during the time of sleep you have to used this net otherwise when you wake up in the early morning you have all your body suck in this pest...

Hello iyah10, In my mother's house in my hometown, we still use a mosquito coil or sometimes we just spray to get rid of mosquitoes. But in my home in the city, we don't use any. There is no mosquitoes here and since I can't sleep in an air conditioned room, we turn on the fan every night.

I live in the Philippines and yes I had experienced using mosquito nets when I was a child especially when we visit my pop's province. But as this country progresses, mosquito nets can now be found only on those rural places wherein electric mosquito repellent are not yet in use. As of the moment, we are using a plug-in device from baygon to get rid of those pesky mosquitos. I read in one comment that air condition helps in minimizing mosquitoes, but it doesn't happen in our case, even if the A/C is in turbo cool mosquitoes still roam our house, so a plug-in mosquito repellent is really needed.

I live in the USA so I don't need one - at least not in the house. If I was camping tho, I would surely need one right now. The mosquitos are really bad here in Florida right now after all the storms we've had. We have to put bug repellent on to go outside especially at night or early morning. But as far as sleeping in the house, no, we don't have to do that.
