Will you participate in the new PvP worlds

Well, it seems that October is bringing us the PvP update that people have been waiting for. There will be specific PvP worlds where you can attack other players over most of an entire server. They did mention that banks and respawn locations will be off limits, as well as specific areas such as Castle Wars. This update seems to be highly anticipated. Myself, not being much into PvP, I'm not interested. I do know that different people like different things, so how many of you will be participating in this new way of PvP? Do you think that Jagex will make the rewards worth it?

I never was much of a Pker. Mind you I did kill thousands of them who were stupid enough to attack me while I was dragon hunting in the wilderness. I won't be visiting the Pk worlds unless I'm mining runeite maybe.

I never was much into pk'ing either. I did like to go out with nothing on, or with cheap armor on and mess with the pk'ers though. One of my favorite ways to do that was to fill my inventory with noted junk, like burnt fish. Then I'd go out, get killed, and come back and beg for my stuff back.

I always took 3 good items ( since I wasn't going to attack & get skulled ). Their one item & my relative inability to die usually didn't help them get much more than hurt.

Well, I wasn't out for anything other than my amusement. Way back when did I actually pk a few times with a friend or with a clan, I certainly didn't 1 item. I've always found that to be the coward's way of doing it. Of course I always thought that people who went out to kill people who were skilling in the wild were also being cowards. Although I did always laugh when I'd get killed in the wildy agility course. I mean what did they think they would gain from someone doing agility? Being the nice person that I am, I always ate all my food while they were killing me so they wouldn't even get that much reward.

I, too, am interested in seeing what the rewards are. Hopefully they'll be good enough to satisfy pk'ers. If not, there will be yet another deluge of disgruntled pk'ers posting in the Runescape forums.

i wont like it if it's only cash on offer like in the bounty hunter, kill this much enemies and u will be awarded with so much money according to average level of enemy killed... i'd like various new rewards in form of armours or weapons, that should NOT be tradable so to make the new equipment unique to ppl who go for pking. but let's see what jagex come up with

From the way Jagex state it, it sounds as though you get your drop automatically, instead of any kind of ticket or point system. I know they have mentioned creating new items for this drop table. I don't think they mentioned that they would be untradeable though. But you never know with Jagex. From the way it reads in the behind the scenes, it sounds as though you will get a drop when you kill someone, and it will depend on different factors, such as the level of your foe, the monetary value of what the other person lost, and difficulty of the kill. So it will be very interesting to see how Jagex does this, and what the new items will be.

I am definetly using it and since it has already came out the time I am posting I have already used it. It is an ok update, but never could replace the old wild. I find the only way to pk is when you are in a clan and you pile every one you see when you are at Falador.

i think i might do it only for a bit of fun, although i am not much of a pker eather, i dont feel like making my account a pure or something. I might go so i could get the rewards wich might actually be worth it! and i heard a rumor a few weeks back that the pvp worlds werent all about pking. Because all things ( most of them) will still be running, like the mini games and stuff, if you skill in these worlds you will get extra exp!so they want to encourage people to skill in dangeruous areas for extra xp... this is just a rumor though, but if its true it would be great...i would skill there because i am sure that there arent going to be pkers everywhere, there has to be a spot with less people... i think it might just be worth it! This is gana be a huge update except i dont really like the fact that you have to kill your own level because that will never be fair becuse there will be so many pures out there, thats why the higher level combat you are the less chance you are a pure...i have to start working on my combat :P Happy mylotting!

I never trust rumors about what Jagex intends to do with a new release. Unless they're actually based on the way someone interprets the actual things Jagex has said about an upcoming release, I've never known a rumor to be true. However, if that rumor is true, I'd be willing to attempt skilling in a PvP world for the extra experience.

I like PKing very much but I am not good at it, but I will always try to be better and kill as many players as possible. Pvp in runescape is really great because you can get dragon armor for staying half an hour in falador and then killing one noob, so it can be really good way to get some money especially on free servers. The biggest problem is that there are only a few free pvp worlds, so you have to be very careful, because there are many pvp guilds that like to kill you. Happy myloting!
