I love my freezer. I think of all the things I have that save me money the freezer is the best. I can buy things on a great deal and save them up for later. I buy meat and things in bulk and I can save up the rest for later. What is in your freezer? and how do you use it to save money?

We freeze everything too. I get what I can on sale and store as much as I can. I only bought a smaller upright freezer and I wish I would have bought a larger one. I did buy what I could afford at the time but I should have waited a few more months.

I buy meat when it is on sale and keep frozen potato items. I have a little ice cream, but not alot. It is nice having the extra freezer.

I try to buy meat and store it when the prices are low but lately the prices have not been low. We are running out of our stockpile of extra meat soon. I guess I need to reevaluate what I think cheap is since prices are going up so fast.

My freezer is pretty much full. I buy in season, both meat and vegetables. I sometimes make up batches of things like meatballs, cook and freeze them for quick meals later, but more often I just freeze meat as I find it on sale. I also buy bread from the day old outlet and freeze it until it's needed. I think my freezer saves a lot of money.

I freeze anything that can be freezed. Today I cooked too many sausages and instead of leaving them on the side to get eaten cos they were there, I popped them into the freezer. I always cook extra meals and freeze them. We had mince and potatoes yesterday so I cooked more than we needed and made a shepherds pie for the freezer, the day before I cooked a cheese and potato pie and made two, one for the freezer. We will eat these when I am short of time and want something ready made, so much cheaper and better for you than ready meals brought from the shops.

I also make leftover meals to cook later. It is like getting a free meal later. Plus I know that it is something my family will like since we have had it once before. I do have sausages in my freezer but not cooked ones.

Yes Yes Yes I do love my freezer! I am just getting back into freezing meals in bulk. Things such as lasagna, casseroles and meatballs. I am also going to freeze some pizzas this time around. If I have extra pancakes I freeze them. I have made biscuits and cinnamon raisin biscuits and frozen them before. I really need to work on my biscuit making skills though :(. I always buy meat in bulk and freezing them in individual meal packets! I love my freezer!

Well I'll be freezing alot of my own vegetables next year, and fruits after that, but right now we have mostly meats in our freezer. A whole turkey that was given to us awhile back that we keep in there in case we're low on money. It's big enough it'd probably feed my whole family for a week, a bit less if we're also feeding our cats and dogs on that. It's all stuff from friends (who know people who hunt....mmm deer), bargains we got from coupons, the occasional deal we find at the store -- gotta love those BOGOs. Mostly, the freezer is used to store enough meals for two weeks. We don't eat ALL of that food in two weeks, and we try to make sure there's always a little extra in there. And we offset that with fresh and cans.

I must agree with you, having a freezer is great when you want to save money. I buy meat and make them into smaller packages and freeze them. But also when I do the cooking I make more then I need and then I freeze it in too. That way there is always something to eat, leftovers as well. I just freeze them in and find something to make out of it again so it won't go to waste.

I am working on stocking up on veggies, since I try to buy most of my vegetables locally during the growing season. I also like to freeze extra bread when I bake.
