What is the most you've ever weighed?

Most of my life I've been a medium built person with a little cushion hanging on strong, but when I hit 24 years young, I gained a lot of weight that year, I think I just transformed from a human to a gorilla, eating up the house and the store. I ended up weighing 230 pounds that year at height 5.5. Wow huh? Now I'm at 154 pounds. What's your story?

Wow! Congrats on your weight loss! I haven't always had a scale, so I'm not exactly sure what the most I've weighed is. I can tell you however, the point where I really started going downhill (but I can assure you, I kept going downhill from there!). I was doing good on weight until I hit the 7th grade. I might have actually gotten a bit more chubby in the 5th grade if I hadn't ended up getting really nasty pneumonia that made me lose 20 pounds (not in a good way). But in 7th grade I remember some healthy kids group came to our school and weighed us and measured body fat. I was 135 and 26% of that was body fat according to their tests. I was only 5'3" (and still am... what am I saying only!). Well, that wasn't too bad. But to them it was, so they called my parents and recommended I go on their special diet. I didn't end up doing it. I've never been good at dieting. I continued a steady decline from there, got an eating disorder for awhile and lost 40 pounds, but then later went back up. And currently I really need to lose some weight, but obviously now I'm not going to go the eating disorder route. I'm trying the exercise route this time and so far it is not going so well.

Believe me, losing weight was probably the hardest thing I ever done, but I knew it had to be done. I went on a fat burning soup diet and lost between 10-15 a week.

At 24 I wa 115 pounds to 130. up and dowm until I was 32 then I put on alot of weight. Lost that at age 36 and put it back on at 44. Up to 220 pounds. I'm now working on loosing the weight a little. I fI do then ok. But if not then I don't. As long as I don't get any bigger. I have hip problems and knee. They all say hey loose the weight and it will go away. I laughed at them as I had them problems before I gained the weight. That is why I gained the weight. I couldn't walk as much anymore. Good luck to you. I like food. Your friend onlydia

well i always weighed like 90lbs (at 5'7) till i was about 19 and they figured out i wasnt digesting food correctly to get nutrients.. so i took meds and got up to 117.. then i was put on this medication cymbalta and blew up to 165 within 6 months.. i FREAKED!! i was never a person to gain weight EVER and here it just piled on.. i was so mad because people were saying i did it to myself and no one believed it was medication and so they treated me like crap.. anyways i went off of it.. lost 25 so i was at 140 then i got sick and didnt have the same docs and so i didnt have my stomach pills (when i gained all the weight my stomach wasnt bugging me and i figured it had cured itself other wise how did i gain any weight?) so i went from 140 in sept of 2006 to 98 at aug 2007 because everything was just running through me.. the worst part was none of my doctors believed me when i told them what was going on and would not prescribe me the medication till they ran months of tests and couldnt figure out why i was STILL losing.. they gave me meds and within a week i gained 10 pounds.. so now im on my tummy meds and digestion is better and back up to 120 which is still too skinny but it runs in my family and its only been a year since i was 98 so im happy as hell to not be in the scary scary thin.. if i want any curves i would still have to pack on like 10-20 pounds lol.. i wish i could gain it.. it would be nice to have boobs..

Wow. It sounds so great to be thin when you see it on TV, but the way you put it I am thankful that I'm not thin! That sounds horrible what you've gone through not being able to digest nutrients properly.
