Where did my battery charger go?

OK here' s story: My cell phone had a really bad baterry and I need to fill it every evening and also during the day. So every morning when I went to work I put a charger in my bag, usually charged my phone at work then took it back home and used it at night again. But one morning I put the charger into my bag, did not used it at work and when I came home the charger was gone. Vanished! I go to work with my car, so I cant loose it during the way, I have my own office that noone goes in (and the company is small so there is no fear of anyone taking anything) but the charger is gone. I searched everything. What do you think could happen to it? :)
