To post or respond?

Nowadays, I would rather respond to discussions that interests me rather than post my own discussions. I enjoy sharing my opinions about some things. I also acquire new information. I get to read good discussions. Some make me cry, some make me laugh, some even makes my day. You also get to know more mylotters. If you're patient, you'd realize there are a lot of interesting and engaging discussions out there. If you have to pick one, what would you rather do. Post your own discussions or respond? ;D Why?

Hi divinegwapa, if you are forcing me to choose then I would prefer to respond but I do like getting all the varying opinions on a discussion so it is a hard one. It does depend with me on how I'm feeling whether I start a discussion or spend my time on mylot responding, on the whole I'm a Mylot responder.

Hi there scorpio! I'm not really forcing, I'm just presenting a situation (what if).;D Mylot wouldn't be great if you can only do one of the two, right? For me, sometimes it also depends on the mood. Well, happy mylotting. ;D

Same here, I am more into responding that posting my own. I don't just post topics unless I believe it is a sensible one. It's better for me to just respond and share valuable views instead of wasting time posting topics that will get no responses.

I so agree with you salonga! I don't just post for the sake of posting. I always try to post interesting and engaging discussions. I think that's the way it should be. Thanks for sharing. ;D

Hi divine, I am more on responding too...I don't post often since I cannot think also of a good topic, once I will post, it is more on personal experience! LOL! I am glad that each day I have over 100 notifications to work with and that's made me busy once I will open my mail! LOL!

I like to do a bit of both. But, I respond more than I post to my own discussions. This is a habit that I have since being here at myLot. I love sharing my ideas and experiences too.

Yup, I prefer responding to discussions than posting my own. It's easier and more fun responding to the different discussions; sometimes I can't think of any ideas or topics for new discussions at all!

Yes, yes. I can relate. Sometimes, we just ran out of ideas. That happened to me a few days back and I hibernated from mylot for 3 days. Haha.

But there may be times where you think o something rather interesting and that you are elated sharing it to your friends, yes, we may post new topics. Surely, there are some interesting things that we can think of. Or, maybe there are times when you are curious on something and yet there is no single discussion relating to that(the one you are thinking), there a necessity arises.

I am more on responding a lot of discussion from my friends list and I do make my own discussion as well but it is very rare and if I will post if I have an experience that would like to know other MyLotters advice.....

I like to try to have a healthy mix of both. I will post a maximum of two discussions on any given day (but usually just the one a day) and then spend the rest of my time posting responses to toher discussions in between replying to responses to my own topic. It is important to have a balance not just to maximize earning potential; but also to ensure that you keep the spirit of friendship etc alive. If you make the effort with others they will make the effort in return and this of course is in the best interests of everybody!

I'm the same in these fast few days, I prefer to respond than to post discussions. Just like you said there are interesting topics that I like to respond more than making my own discussion. It was quite fun to respond to discussions, there are topics that are quite good and interesting to post your opinion in it, there are discussions as well that gives you an advice or caution to certain fakes sites. So, for me, it's more fun to respond than post my own discussion.

To post or respond..That´s the question! Almost sounds like something of Shakespeare himself! Anyway I don´t mind doing both! If I have something to say, and there isn´t a real discussion going on about it, I will post a new thread-discussion about it..but I don´t mind responding or commenting anything! I like doing everything on MyLot!

Shakespeare?? Haha. Yeah. I guess mylot wouldn't be as fun if you can only do one (post or respond). Well, happy posting and responding!;D

For me, i would like to respond to discussion more than create new discussion. I will only start discussion if i really want to know more on that topic. I do feel the same things on what you said, sometimes is kind of enjoy to look at people's response. Also, i use some of the topic for the day, means that i shared it with my other friends too. So far, i didnt get into the situation that make me cry. =)

Thanks for your response adrian! Well, actually it was yesterday that I read a discussion that made me cry which lead me to post this discussion. haha. It was a story about judging other people. I just can relate to the story, that's why. hehe.

For the time being, I try to respond first on the discussions readily available but at times I think it is best to start new ones so that should there be something that was not covered before may be discussed. Anyway, when time comes, I think that we will realize that responding do not complete our journey of continuous learning with each other. If I really have to pick and that there is no exceptions, I think responding will do. It will still be a learning somehow.

True, since you get a lot of inputs from other people when you respond. Seems like you're new here and I'd suggest you keep responding first and add friends to your circle. ;D Welcome to mylot!

I'm new here in myLot. I opened my account last night and started responding this morning to discussions which interests me. Being new, the truth is, I haven't figured out a way to post my own question yet.. teehee :) but it's okay, all in due time, I know I'll learn. So for the meantime, I respond!

Hello divinegwapa, I like to post more than starting a new discussions. I have hard time looking and thinking for discussions to post. It's easier to look for something to post to. I find it easier to share my ideas and experience on some topics I am familiar with. There are a lot of topics there that created by our mylot friends and you can find something you like and interest you. It is easier to post because once you are done you can either comment or not comment at all. Whereas when you start some discussions you have a responsibility to provide rating, read the responses and give comments. It is also fun but more work involve. Regards.

Probably respond. I have trouble thinking of discussions to start. Then if I do start a new discussion and I don't get any responses, or barely any responses, like the last one I posted , then I feel sad and rejected, OK, it is not all that bad, but I feel kind of silly when no one responds. Plus I like to answer questions.

I am generally a responder. Other people have a talent for starting discussions that keep going, but I don't really do that very well. My discussions are typically somewhat well.. out of touch in one way or another. :)

Hi friend,Most of us like to make discussions when we get lot of responses, but when we dont get much responses we lose interest to post discussions.I feel the same ,when I get many responses I immediately make another discussion, but when I dont find much responses I stop making discussions and like to post as many responses as I can to others discussions.Iam more happy to receive best response rather than getting many responses to my discussions.thanks for sharing.happy mylotting.

You're right. I think that's what happened to me. During my first days here I'm more of a poster since I get a lot of responses. But after a while, I don't get a lot of responses anymore and I can't think of interesting discussions to post. What I did. I hibernated from mylot for 3 days. Haha. When I came back I focused on responding and I find it more enjoyable (for now.;D).

If you keep looking you'll find really interesting discussions. That's why I haven't been posting lately since I can't think of anything interesting to discuss. It discourages me to get zero responses on my discussions so I'd rather respond unless I have a really good topic to post. :D Happy mylotting.
