i am lost!

can someone relay to me why frank is no longer a policeman? was he demoted then promoted again? i missed some episodes that's why i am a bit lost.

Kind of weird, huh? Last season he shaved his head and wore a uniform... this season he is back in the suit. When he was in the uniform they asked him on the first episode and he explained something about being promoted and having to wear the uniform (makes no sense to me) but there was no comment from the other characters this season as to why he was back to civilian clothes. Probably too much trauma going on to bring it up. Who knows? The writers of these shows are not always on the ball. For some reason they don't see what we see.
