I'm a newbie her in myLot. In fact, I just signed up last night and just started posting this morning. I don't know how much I'll earn here but I don't know if it's going to matter because I'm having such a great time. I'm very much enjoying reading the other members posts and responding on my own. So, what happened was, in my haste to respond to not one but two posts that I found particularly interesting, I accidentally clicked the buttons for rating and I don't know how to take it back. The worst part is, I don't even know if I clicked the positive or the negative rating because it just doesn't show anywhere. I've tried sending myLot a private message about it but I'm still getting paranoid. Of course, I don't want to give anyone a negative rating! So what can I do? Has anybody had a similar experience? Can somebody tell me what to do? Please help. Thanks

Don't worry about it, and welcome to mylot. I have done the same thing when I first signed on here. I made a lot of mistakes but we learn the site more and more as we go on. Just forget about it and continue having fun with this site. Mylot is one of the best sites on the internet and it is a lot of fun. The rating system here doesn't really count for anything. It doesn't help increase yours or the others earnings. It is just a reputation thing that no one even pays attention to anymore. I think mylot should just get rid of it because it doesn't do anything anyways. What I did when I first became a member in mylot is browse around and check out all the links on the site. There are some really interesting things you can do with mylot. I have been a member for a year now and I still find some things I didn't know about. I also make sure to read the guidelines over and over again about every three months just to remind myself of them. I don't want to be breaking any rules. Good luck and have fun.

Hi chrislotz, what you posted is such a relief. Thank you for that and for the tip, I'll try to learn more about myLot like you... As you can see above, I made a mistake again! (sigh) :) .. but I am getting the hang of this, I think. Thanks again. Avi

Another helpfull hint is to make all of your postings at least 5 or 6 lines long and you will earn the maximum for it. Also you earn more money by posting discussions than posting responses as the more people who respond, the more money you make. Good luck my new friend.
