operating system

in almost all the computers we see that windows is the default opperating system. and i think now is the time to change this trend as there are more better and comfortable operating systems like linux and mac.
as linux is very smooth as compared to windows and the chances of crashing in it are also very rare.virus attack is also very difficult in linux
Mac also has some good propertes over windows, but a step lower than windows.
what do you say which operating system will be better than windows linux or mac

Ya and people who have not heard of Microsoft Virtual PC or VMWARE,you can run linux from inside Windows Virtually whithout actually modifying partitions ..
And also good way to try out new Operating system, i test new linux mostly using VMWARE, Microsoft Virtual pc doesnt support many linux distros..

Our OS is Windows based. We tried switching to Linux once because to viruses can enter its system however we find difficulty finding partners outside (computer cafe, school PC) since Linux is not compatible with Microsoft that's why we switched back to Windows after just one week.

Y don't you use both of them simultaneously. There are many softwares which can be used to run both of them simultaneously.

I enjoy using Windows more than the other operating systems. Linux is still mostly used by tech geeks and I'm just not used to using Mac's operating system. I do find that windows is more user friendly than either operating systems but that might just be because I'm more used to it. It's all a matter of oopinion I suppose.

linux is the next most best operating system after windows and in the next years it definitly will overtake the windows

I've been using windows right since i was a kid and since when thr was windows 1.2 or something, don't remember properly. I would rather prefer Mac os in my computer rather than windows as its pretty efficient, light, consumes less memory and can do almost everything that win can do. One more thing i have heard is that Mac can handle heavy sized image files very easily. my vote goes to mac

I''d been using mac for ages and finds it very useful in my work. Though not many apps that will applies to mac environment but when it come to stability i;d choose mac. I find Linux is better than windows but there still not much aoos applied to it also.
