Childhood friends

It seems when we're young we make so many friends. As we get older the friends start to diminish. Some people keep in touch with a few friends from their childhood but not many. Then when we get married and have children, we make more friends. How many friends do you still keep in touch with from your childhood? How many friends would you say are close friends?

My best friend and I have been best friends since the third grade. Fourteen years is a long time. We've been through thick and thin together. I hope I never lose her!

That's wonderful for you! I have a friend I've known since Kindergarten (30+ years ago).

When I was young ,there were many close friends who shared happiness with me .We played all kinds of games together. However ,when all of us grow up today, we have little to talk deeply. It is said because of different experience , education background and social background ,we have little in common. All of us make new friends in the field of our life.Although when we meet each other we will say hello ,and talk happily ,but we couldn't commnicate deeply.

I agree with you. It is sad how things change but I guess that's just how it was meant to be. Some people come into our lives for just a little bit of time.

I'm still in touch with my childhood friends. Some of them are living abroad but through the internet and telecommunications we still keep in touch. My childhood friends are a part of my life. They are godparents to my children. And I am godparents to theirs. Close friends differ in every level, well, that's what I believe in. I have lots of close childhood friends and a lot of close high school friends. These are people I consider friends for life.

I have five close friends, none from my childhood. But I have one Christmas card friend from my teenage years. We all change as the years go by and in my case many people are on longer alive. It's good that you can make new friends.

Oh yes, the Christmas card friends. I have one of them too. It's the only time of the year that you know they're still alive. Yes, people do change through the years. It's just ashame that some of the friends we used to know don't keep in touch anymore. I guess some things are just meant to be left alone.
