This taken from the weekly news newspaper.... They'd be perfect for the 2012 Olympics in London or worth thinking about if petrol prices get any higher. Enterprising rickshaw drivers in Beijing have souped up their traditional pedal transports by cutting Mini Cooper cars in half and putting a bicycle in front. ZERO CARON EMISSIONS They turned heads during the recent Olympics Games, and have been such a hit, they're going ot remain a feature in Beijiang, taking tourists around the city. The human powered Minis have zero carbon emissions, so that should keep the eco warriors happy. I think thats pretty neat, don't you?

London already has a rickshaw service, the traditional bicycle kind, taking tourists round central London. As the Mini Cooper was a British car to begin with, I think it would be a great idea for them to appear on our streets too. London cabbies are not too happy with the rickshaws though, and would probably welcome the Mini-shaws even less!

I love to see humans get creative. I think it's often the best of us.
