Say what you need to say................ just say it here

I was just listening to a song by John Mayer - Say http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rzNkQniE4ZE "Say what you need to say" is the repeated chorus of this song. So that is my discussion, folks. Say what you need to say.... just say it here. I'll start: I think life would be completely unbearable, at times, if I didn't have music that moved me, relaxed me and sometimes just carried me away.

YAY! Good Idea... I passionately dislike that song because I wish whoever he was talking to would hurry the H3ll up and say something! Now that I got that off my chest. How come people take great delight in blowing something so out of proportion the original thought gets lost. I have seen it happen way to many times. I feel that if people can't reply civilly and stop when they see it escalating out of control, they should just remove themselves or stop talking.

You make me laugh, dizzblnd. ........... Say what you need to say, Say what you need to say, Say what you need to say, Say what you need to say, Say what you need to say, Say what you need to say, ........ alright already!!! I hear you...... Just walk away and take a breather! Some people still want to escalate situations even after taking a breather. It's like a personality trait for some. Thanks for helping out with my little discussion. :)

Let's see if I can steer this in the direction you were hoping for, and discuss something OTHER than music. :) I am tired of dealing with irresponsible parents who would rather concentrate on themselves than on their children. Why should a child have to spend months without one of their parents, and then be expected to re-arrange their schedule when the parent decides they are ready to spend time with them again? And don't even get me STARTED about the child support situation....@@

Thanks! We go back to court the end of this month for the child support issues, but there's no way the court can MAKE him pay attention to his daughter, unfortunately. :(

I am with you. There are so many songs that say just what we want to say but in a way we might not be able to express ourselves. Most of my life has been filled with music....I don't know what I would do without it.

Phewewew!! Thanks, jillhill, I was thinking this was going to be one of those untouched discussion. Ah yes, the talent of a good songwriter..... saying what we all feel and couldn't quite say. I realized after starting this in Listening to Music and then my own input was about music I will not achieve what I was after here which was more of a "getting something off your mind" idea. Oh well, heehee I can't tell you how many times I've missed my mark with discussions. Thanks for your response.

It is very good that you say what is in your heart and not hold it in. I bet you are a very happy person.

I'm sick of my aunt treating her two little girls like crap. She wanted kids so bad, and now that she has them, all she says anymore when they come up to her is "I don't want you. Go away!" She blames the younger one for everything, saying she can't keep her mouth shut, and she's dumb and disrespectful. Her little girl's six!!! I hate the way she expects her kids to be perfect and to obey her every stupid whim, all the time. She doesn't even know how to cook for them or have any desire to learn, she always shoves them off on someone else. I used to be really close with her girls until somehow, I ruined her marriage by discovering that she was having an affair with her ex-boyfriend from high school....who's also married!!! She makes me so mad!! Kids don't deserve that kind of BS...I just wish parents would realize how precious this time of their kids' lives is! ....whew!! Thanks for posting this discussion...it made me feel better!! [hugs!]
