No my house isn't burning lol. Just a question though, assuming that every body is already safe outside and your house is burning. You still have less than 5 minutes to save at least one thing inside your house. What would it be and why?
As for me, I would do my best to retrieve my digital camera and the photo albums. Money can't buy the moments captured by a camera. The fridge and other electronic devices can still be bought in the feature. Just needs hard work to get them.

This is easy, considering you also are including pets in the "everybody" catagory??
I would grab my files with all the paperwork in it..It has all our receipts and certificates and important papers for when we start all over again. As for the pictures, I usually put them on the computer right away and then into photobucket, so I can have them online and offline...

Yeah, I know what you mean about the "older" pictures..what you can do though is if you have a scanner, scan them and upload them into multiply..I was going to do that when we got our scanner, but I had to pack and store everything up, (long story) and then by the time I got my pictures back, the cord or something messed up on the scanner..
So I have my pictures, but I can't save them on the computer or online..
I didn't think of it, it wouldn't be an orginal copy, but to scan my documents like the deed, receipts, and certificates, etc...Might be a good idea too..Except you would want to be careful where you store something that important, you don't want someone else to get a hold of those..

Me too. I upload my pictures not in photobucket though but in multiply. About the photo album I'm talking about, I have a bunch of pictures that were taken using just a regular camera. When I can't afford a digital camera yet I had to buy a regular camera so that I can capture moments of my growing infant. So, I still need to save those. Hmm regarding the important papers, I forgot about that. Diplomas, insurance documents and stuff are also important. Thanks for the response!

I will save my personal belongings like bank accounts and other stuff that needs to be save in the times like that. yes your right electronic devices can be bought but your lives never. if you have a time to save your life then do it. dont bother anything except for your family.

I've actually been through a house fire and lost everything from my baby items to precious stuff i'll never get back. It takes years to gain stuff back from what you have lost, and years to get past having that feeling of seeing your house burn down right in front of you.

. I do hope that you have already recovered a part of what you've lost. So how are you doing now?
