Was anyone else disappoined in the new book brinsingr ?

I have read eragon and eldest and I love them, but the last book I found to be less exciting than the last one, it was like the first 500 pages the plot was mostly going a straight line and there just didn't seem to really be any big surprises overall. And even the ending wasn't much of a cliff hanger. I figured he'd at least leave some kind of tease at the end or something. Any one else feel the same way ? What did you think of the book ?
