Hello fellow Mylotters! I guess I am just fed up and need to get this off my chest! I have 4 children, 3 of which are teens and very capable of helping out around the house, or at least clean up after themselves. The other is a baby, but I am starting to think she does more than everyone else! I also have a husband, but he doesnt do enough either. So why am I cleaning up after everyone 24/7 I am a mom, not a maid! If that would be the case, pay me! Do you ever just get "fed up"? How do you deal with it? Do people in your house help Out or do their fair share?

You oughta have a council of war with your family members. :) Maybe a family meeting would help? Well, I was really small, say before I touched my teens, I was a hard worker I remember. Then depression struck, and I was not able to do anything. I could not even help myself, so naturally I couldn't help my mother. So, throughout my teen years, I did not lift a finger. In India, no one takes depression seriously. It is simply considered a behavior problem which can be set right with a bit of scolding or beating. So no one sympathized with me or even gave me any help with it. Took me years and years to understand it and get out of it. Now, of course, I do a lot of work around the house. The tough jobs or cleaning and gardening are done by me, while my Mom does the cooking and the laundry. Cheers and happy mylotting

That is all your obligation. You must do your job of course but if that is the case the you always feel being feed up with that work then try to hire some maid for your work load. I think that will do the rest of your burden.

If only I had the money! Unfortunatly a maid is not in my budget! I dont mind doing the everday housework, I actually enjoy it. But, it's those little things like coming home from school/work and throwing your stuff everywhere after I just cleaned! Or, not doing chores. Those things really bother me. It can be overwhelming and it causes me to feel unappreciated. Thanks for your esponse!

It is all depends upon your relation ship with them and their response towards you
