When you type do you use the home row keys? I do. Or do you type with one finger? Which is faster for you? I can barely type using one finger, I find it much faster and productive to use the home row keys. How about you? What is your preference?

I am definitely a home row man!! I have been typing for many years and now I class myself as a touchtypist, someone who types really fast without looking down at the keyboard! This is a wonderful ability to have as it means that you can type a lot more and you are not slowed down in any way. I just love to type and My Lot is the perfect place for it. Andrew

Around here we call the typing with one finger the "hunt and peck" method, which to me I've never seen anyone type fast doing it that way. I get shocked at how many people can't type fast nowadays. At work, we all use computers full time and most everyone has a laptop, so when I see someone hunting for letters, I'm thinking "how did they type those emails to me and how long did it take them to do that?" Learning to type is definitely cruicial in this society.

I use the home row keys. i took a typing class in school and they made us learn the home row keys. we had to practice it over and over again. i can type pretty fast with one finger too if i have to. I'm pretty familiar with the keyboard so i can do either. plus sometimes i have a kid on my lap so i have to type with one hand lol.

I use only one finger to type. It is not because of preference, but ability
