Obscene constitutional blasphemy!!!!

I have been absent as of late my friends, due to a situation in my home life. But here I am now. I am refraining for the most part from election postings and responses as it seems almost pointless now, I think most of you know how my disgust with the conduct and discussion as a whole has grown exponentialy lately. Instead, I am concentrating on other matters I consider more urgent, that being the erosion of states rights. To wit, 2 things that jumped out at me and inspired both horror and outrage, as it should with EVERY American. I am talking about the deployment of U.S. troops on U.S soil, a direct viloation of posse comatitus, recently revised to it's original text and then there's something even worse....this one should send you to your states capitol and the nations capitol with pitchforks and torches.....the deployment of FORIEGN troops on U.S. soil.....yes you read correctly....the deployment of FORIGN TROOPS ON U.S. SOIL. Those who know me know I'm not a conspiricy theorist. I'm not a 9/11 truther or an nwo theorist, I find all that stuff nonsense.... but this is public information, two aticles on northcom.mil's website and on The Army Times. http://www.northcom.mil/News/2008/021408.html http://www.armytimes.com/news/2008/09/army_homeland_090708w/ The pretences are training and disaster work, but even so, it is still not justified of legal under ANY circumstances. Please, I beg all of you, write your state reps and governors for legislation that refuses the presense of these trioops and refuses recognition of either the authority of the white house or the military on this. Fight this at every corner and every means possible. I have sent letters to all my state reps, congressmen and the governor. Here is a copy of the letter I sent to all my reps, feel free to use some of it for your own. My letter: "I am writing to you to appeal to your sense of patriotism and love of your state and it's citizens. As well to appeal to what I hope still remains of your understanding of proper governance, state's rights and proper constitutional prudence. This may be lengthy but i feel it greatly important so I hope you will take the time to read it and consider it's ramifications carefully, as they are long reaching and fundamentaly important to the state and this nation as a whole. Two situations that, have gone almost un-noticed and with out the blatent out cry that should have occured in such situations have promted me, as a citizen of this great state and a patriotic American, to write you in the hopes of getting our state to stand up for itself and it's citizens. The two things I am refering to are the potential deployment of federal troops on U.S. soil, a direct violation of even the latest revision of posse comitatus and the deployment of foriegn troops on U.S. soil which is even greater obcene constitutional blasphemy. I assure you, this is not conspiricy theory. I am not a "9/11 truther", nor am I a "nwo alarmist", I find those theories bordering on paranoia and just plain nonsense. Again, I assure you I am none of this. The 2 mentioned situations are publicly mentioned and reported facts. Please see the attatched links to articles reporting these things, one appears right The Army Times website and the other on Northcom.mil's website. These are fully reported facts. The links: http://www.northcom.mil/News/2008/021408.html http://www.armytimes.com/news/2008/09/army_homeland_090708w/ These are not national guard troops under the command of the governor, these are FEDERAL troops, under the command of the president and our nation's military. I don't think I need to remind you that either is a direct viloation of the original text of "posse comitatus": "Sec. 1385. - Use of Army and Air Force as posse comitatus Whoever, except in cases and under circumstances expressly authorized by the Constitution or Act of Congress, willfully uses any part of the Army or the Air Force as a posse comitatus or otherwise to execute the laws shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than two years, or both. " Also relevent: "HR5122 also known as the John Warner Defense Authorization Act was signed by the president on Oct 17, 2006 John Warner National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2007. Section 1076 Text of Hr5122 is titled "Use of the Armed Forces in major public emergencies". Removing the legalese from the text, and combining multiple sentences, it provides that: The President may employ the armed forces to restore public order in any State of the United States the President determines hinders the execution of laws or deprives people of a right, privilege, immunity, or protection named in the Constitution and secured by law or opposes or obstructs the execution of the laws of the United States or impedes the course of justice under those laws. The actual text is on page 322-323 of the legislation. As of 2008, these changes were REPEALED, changing the text of the law back to the original 1878 wording, under Public Law 110-181 (H.R. 4986, Section 1068,) however in signing H.R. 4986 into law President Bush attached a signing statement which indicated that the Executive Branch did not feel bound by the changes enacted by the repeal." In other words, though the recent short lived redefinition was resoundingly overturned, the white house seems willing to ignore it. This should be alarming. No matter what use they may be originaly intending, humanitarian, emergency aid and assistance, etc, it is wrong on every level and a dangerously bold and un-nessesary step. It is wrong reguardless of the intent and no reason given should ever be considered justified. And the use of FORIEGN TROOPS is something that should NEVER EVER be considered. While I don't fear a comming of martial law or a police state, this is a dangerous precedent and flies in the face of our nation's principals and our state's rights and soveirgnty. It is becomming increasingly apparent that the federal government is bit by bit eroding state's rights and slowly nationalizing each state, reducing our federation to a more centraly controlled and governed nation, something our founding fathers were very much apposed to and went to great lengths to avoid. New Hampshire has already stood up against National I.D. This should be no different. It is apparent that our federal government is not going to stand up for state's rights and we, as individual states, must do so for ourselves. It has got to stop somewhere, someone must draw a bold line, stand up and resoundingly say, "NO! Enough!" I would like a resolution introduced that does just that. One that refuses the use of said troops on New Hampshire soil and refuses recognition of their authority. Have we not seen enough rights eroded in the last few years? Have we not had enough chipping away at the rights given to us by those who died in history and fought for them? It is time for New Hampshire to live up to the slogan many proclaim proudly, "Live free or die". These may be mere words to some, but to many in this state they are gospel. I am sending similar letters to other state represenatives and intend to start a very public campaign to get this message out to the people of this state. I don't think many are aware of these actions and would be as outraged as I was, the few I have already mentioned these incidents to became genuinely angered by them, I mean red faced, blatently angered. So I beg of you, stand with me on this, stand up for New Hampshire and it's people, as a servant of the people of this great state, please stand with us. Respectfully,

First of welcome back, hope all is better. Secondly, can you ever started a discussion that isn't so deep? lol It just couldn't be something like, did you like Palin's shoes last night, or how about that smile of Biden's? lol It seems very odd. I guess I will have to write my idiots but only a few actually listen to the people they represent. Thanks for bringing this out.

Not unless the entire state gets to vote on the shade and brand! That's a jackpot for some cosmetic company, and I want a chance to cash in on the lipstick market, dam*it!

xfahctor, it's rare that you and I are in agreement on something, but on this one, we are. I picked up on the language in that law back when it was passed. I didn't know either about the repeal or about the signing signing statement, but it doesn't surprise me. I stopped being stunned about the erosion of civil, individual rights under this administration some time ago. I will certainly be drafting my own letter about this for my representatives.

Thank you, I appreciate your support. It is apparent that the only way we will now regain rights and keep what we do have is at the state level, our states need to start standing up for themselves again, by what ever means nessesary, be it legislation, civil disobvedience or even, if nessesary, a call up of state militias if it ever comes to these troops trying to carry out civil policing duties. I hope our governors at least still have a pair of gahones in them somewhere

Well, since your state borders mine, I certainly hope so as well. This is not an issue on which individual voices will make much difference at the federal level. It does need to be raised at the state level, and pushed by states.

That's a very good letter.. I am printing it for future reference.. A lot of people don't understand why it's so important for states to retain all their rights rather than be morphed into and ruled by Washington..

thanks for your response. I have supported our military and white house in every foriegn war since I was old enough to understand, including the Bosnia war, though it was a truly illegal war by definition. I have supported pres Bush in many things, but THIS was just too much. I will defend my state in any way possible against any unauthorized troop use. This is bordering on treason

I wonder what your feelings are about the fact that the military took over New Orleans after Katrina hit.

if it was the national guard and with the permission of the governor, than I have no problem with it. thats what they are there for. Anything outside of this is unconstitutional
