I am by no means an overcomer but my life has changed a whole lot for the better over the past year even thou I don't make as much money as I did a few years ago and I still have all the same bills and all the same worries.
Some people say that the new testament should have been gnostic but was made into monotheism. I find its both and for me that works. Not only works but helps.
A couple things that I like to point out that can help you are Luke 17:21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.
Mathew6:25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
We need more than just worrying about paying bills the next new toy. These things will drive you to an early grave. Real peace of mind is when you learn to be happy in whatever state you are in. Happiness is what you choose not something that someone can give you or you can buy. We live most of our lives thinking if I could just have this or accomplish that than I would be happy. Goals are nice but just being happy is something you can have at anytime. You are complete as you are and no matter what you wear or what you have its not going to change who you are to yourself.
Is this an easy state of mind to reach? Not at all I struggle daily with trying to keep my mind on the right track. But if you can train your mind than the rest of it doesn't matter. James 1:8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
As that hymn goes the God on the mountain is still God in the valley, no matter the bad time there is a tomorrow to come if you hang in there. May we all be blessed and work on this.

You are so right Evan hunter. It is refreshing to see there are more people actually embracing this and tasting it for your own indiviual self. There is so much going on in this time we are living in. I believe Gods word is everything, so to that leads to a life of true happiness and peace into the hearts of each individual. That is something that no one can give you but God since He is the one that put it there in the first place. Then he sends His word and others out to reiterate it or confirm what he has placed in our hearts.

What an inspiring post! It sounds like you have a deep faith in God. Keep reading your bible and your faith will increase every day. I don't know what I would do without the peace of Christ to keep me grounded. I know that no matter what happens, God is still on His throne and has already won the fight. Really, that is all that matters. Peace to you!

Thank you for the reply, yes I doubt I would have made it this past year if it had not been for my faith.

I think I'm in the exact same spot!! My thoughts about things can be my own worst enemy! So I am trying to get my thoughts in line with what God has promised us (all).. I've never been one for lots of possessions, but hubby hurt his knee and now we have credit card debt.. then everything is rising in price.. wages going down it seems.. But I want my mind on reality.. God! And his reality..
