Yeah, halloween is just around the corner. I love halloween. I love seeing all the kids coming to my door, all dressed up. I used to decorate my house, back in Winnipeg, for ever holiday but now that I have moved to Calgary I don't have any of my decorations and have to go out and buy some more. I noticed the other day that I can get a lot of decorations at the dollar store so it won't cost me much to replace them. I am going shopping this weekend to buy some and am going to decorate my house this weekend. I clean houses for a living and have noticed that several of them have their halloween decorations up already so I want to do the same My question to you is, do you decorate your house for halloween? Or for any holiday for that matter?

Hehehe.. I'm kinda ashamed to admit that I don't decorate our condo at all. We moved here July last year, and we spent both Christmas and New Year in the US (LAX and SFO respectively) because of work and it's a good thing we were able to get the same flights or else we'll both be extra lonely. For Halloween, since we live in the middle of the city, we don't have any trick or treaters so I don't bother at all. But hopefully, if all goes according to plans, we'll have our own house in a nice village in two years and then I'm planning to go all out in the decorating department!

Hi my dear friend. First I would like to say thanks for signing up to mylot. I am your referror and was just curious how you came across my blogg to sign up to mylot? I haven't decorated my house for halloween or christmas for the last 7 years but now that I am on my own, left my husband, I plan on doing it again for every occasion. I love to decorate and so now I will enjoy doing it again. Good luck with finding a house and I hope all of your dreams come true.

Halloween is not celebrated in my country. It's a normal day to us. There's no parades, no kids running around for 'trick or treat'. However, some restaurants/pubs do have Halloween parties on 31st October. Hope you will have a great Halloween.

I might be going to Singapore Night Safari during Halloween season. It seems interesting. http://www.nightsafari.com.sg/whatsnew/halloween08.htm

Thanks, I will have a lot of fun with halloween, decorating and having the kids come to my door. It is a lot of fun and too bad you don't celebrate it, sorry.

I love to decorate for holidays. I haven't had the funds for the past few years though. When I was in high school, my mom came home one day with this skull mask, some skeleton gloves, black fabric and a scythe, she asked if there was any way I could put together a grim reaper in the front yard. I built that and it was fabulous. The next year we added assorted graves all over the yard. That was the tradition for several years. There were a couple of years where the moon and weather conditions were just right to make the younger kids a little afraid to come up to the door, while making the older kids think it was the coolest yard on the block. It was awesome. I'm actually back at my mom's for now, and I asked her a few days ago if she still has the stuff in the attic. I'm thinking that the reaper needs to live again.

It is a fun thing to do, decorate the house. I want to do it for christmas too, since I haven't done a christmas theme for a few years now.
