How old were you when you had a first girlfriend/boyfriend?

Looking forward to a wide range of ages here! So how old were you? Did you have one when you were a little kid or was it much much later, like in high school? The first one I remember thinking of that way (and I was still innocent) was in 2nd grade. Our idea of 'boyfriend and girlfriend' was sitting next to each other in class and playing at recess lol. I also wonder if anybody here married their first girlfriend or boyfriend... inquiring minds want to know!

I think I had my first "boyfriend" in kindergarden. We would chase eachother at recess and sit together on the bus. I was a little heart breaker, I had boyfriends continuously until highschool when the real dating began. After I stopped going to school I got pickier and stopped choosing only the guys who fit the correct status for my giant ego. My first real and serious boyfriend must've been around age 18.

I was always picky, and not because I had a giant ego, even when I was younger I wanted more than 'status quo'. I wasnt interested in the appearances aspect, I wanted a relationship with someone who was also a good friend. I dated a good friend in high school, he was an excellent boyfriend but I didn't want to sleep with him and I think that cooled it off considerably. He didn't leave me, I left him but I just didn't see anything lasting down the road. I got married the first time (to my ex) when I was 22. I don't think my high school boyfriend got married for awhile, I actually got back in touch with him via his wife that I met at a friend's wedding. His life is nothing like I would have imagined based on his dreams and plans when he was 17.

Wow mommyboo! I don't think that I remember exactly. I think it was in 5th grade when I was 10. Some boy asked me to a dance or something like that. But, he wasn't my boyfriend. I didn't even like him or know that he liked me until then. I didn't want to go to the dance because I was scared! I said yes, but then I changed my mind! So after that I always felt uncomfortable when I saw him at school. That's about all I can remember about it!

I don't think I was ever scared although there were plenty of occasions where I said NO because I just didn't like the boy. I got harrassed by this boy my freshman year and he actually followed me HOME! I told him he'd better make himself scarce before my dad came home and fired up the grill... he never chased me home again but he sure as heck followed me around at school! I had a class or two with him as well so he just couldn't be avoided. I was pretty innocent and naive so I really didn't know what I could do about it. These days I'd probably have confronted him AND I'd have a boyfriend who would threaten him LMAO!

I was 18 when I had one. A late bloomer so it is! I was not into puppy love back then, because I kept into mind my guy-hate prospect. I was bullied before by a guy, so I was not interested in any of those before.

I was 11, and lucky as I can be sometimes, my boyfriend was the guy I had a crush on for more than a year. We did a few stuff together, danced together (when we were on school-discos) and such. It was a pretty sweet romance. He even drew stuff for me, for instance a portrait of me (which turned out great!). [: Though he didn't have the courage to break up with me face to face. He did the note-thing. Of course I went heartbroken for a time. So I stayed at home the day after he broke up with me, just to find him on the bus the very next day I was on my way to our school. /:

I have my first boyfriend when i was 18 years old. It was a long distance relationship but it became serious. I don't have a boyfriend personally because i though of it as a hindrance for my studies so I'd rather choose to have a relationship to the person who is far from me. And now I got married to him. He is my first and probably the last.

Long distance can be hard. I dealt with that - I moved to be with my now-husband, there are certain things that are prevented by distance, physical contact, marriage, kids lol. I suppose I am not like you, relationships to me are much more important than studies. I'm glad you married him though

I didn't have a 'boyfriend' when I was in kindergarten or school. Though I went to an all girls' school, we did have boys till 4th grade. But I don't remember being good friends with any of the boys. Besides the crushes I had as a teenager, I had my first real boyfriend when I was 19. We almost were married...but I guess it wasn't meant to be. So, the answer to that question is that I didn't marry my first boyfriend.

My first boyfriend was probably the little neighbour boy. We were the same age so we went to kindergarten together, but I know we used to play at the park together prior to that. We were 'boyfriend/girlfriend' up until 3rd grade when I switched schools (and then towns). Funnily enough, when I was in my senior year of high school, we had a new boy start at my school who I started to date, and he was best friends with my first boyfriend in the town I used to live in and had heard ALL about me as a little girl from my first boyfriend. Small world, that. My first actual boyfriend was in 8th grade, and I think I was about 13. We flirted and talked on the phone the entire year, and finally about March, my best friend just asked him to go out with me and he agreed. We held hands, and sat together at lunch, and finally one day he wanted to kiss me, so I let him, and it was awful. Neither of us had ever kissed anyone before and it showed. We broke up after that because I refused to kiss him again.

I had my first boyfriend when I was 13. It was also very innocent. I was very shy. Really shy! LOL! We went to my girlfriend's birthday party and, in an effort to make him and I have our first kiss...and of course it had to be French...they masterminded a little game of Spin The Bottle. So, my first kiss was horrible, embarrassing and way to public for my tastes. We broke up shortly after. We were only together for about a month and a half. Yea...I know! I told you I was shy. LOL!

I suppose you can say I had my first girlfriend when I was in 1st or 2nd grade. I didn't really think of her like that (too young). My first "official" girlfriend was in 5th grade though.

Can I say that I NEVER had a girlfriend in my whole entire life? Because I really NEVER had a girlfriend in my whole entire life, and I'm only like what... 19 years old? LOL I really don't care about getting a girlfriend as of right now, I'm sort of satisfied with my life, I just got a new job today (horray) and my pals in college are pretty cool (another horray) and yeah, I'm too lazy to go for the gf hunting (boo ~) ;)

I first experience having a girlfriend when I reach the age of 13. It is my first time at that time and I'm in high school which is very funny though exciting.

I was 17 years old when I agreed to be the girlfriend of my classmate. It was the last quarter of my last year in high school so I thought I'm old enough to have a boyfriend. My mom's very strict and I didn't want to hide it from her. So two years before, I already told her that I'm going to have a boyfriend on my senior year in high school.
