I heard from my brother that chewing your food thirty times is the best way to stay healthy because your food will be digested very well and used by the body properly. According to him, people must eat slowly and chew their food very well. I tried it and I found out that I felt better but i got tired after a few days and went back to old habit. I'm a busy person and sometimes even eating is such a burden. But I believe my brother's advise is right. Do you eat properly? How many times do you chew your food?

I know that it is good to chew food really well before swallowing and the reason for this is that there are enzymes in the saliva which breaks down and begins the digestive process that continues down to the stomach. How many times? I suppose you just chew until it gets all chewed and good to swallow. Cheers!!

I dont count but I guess several enough to have the food smoothly slide the esophagus. I have heard that it is important to chew the foods well before swallowing it. It would prevent colon cancer and unpleasant fart. lol. Plus the fact that the body will readily absorbed the nutrients to a well milled bolus.

I have read about this too, apparantly it is a thing to trick your brain in some way and it is supposed to work but I am not sure i could sit there and count my chews, I don't think it would be all that easy.

I've heard of this, but it sounds annoying. I think I probably chew about 5 times, or if I'm eating a gummy worm, 14 times! I don't feel like sitting at the table that long. It sounds boring!
