Home made is always the best way to go, but I have to say that I've tried some of those new Campbell's soups (healthy harvest? simple harvest? something like that). They're in a white can with green writing on the lable, but they're usually mixed in with all the other Campbell's ready to eat soups (not the condensed ones). I don't recommend the vegetarian vegetable. It's WAY too bland to enjoy. The hearty chicken, italian wedding and savory chicken were VERY good. Hope that helps.

I think maybe to be sure of low salt soup the best would be home made I feel commercial soups would probably use a lot of salt regardless of what they say, I have tried weight watches soup and I like that but I have never really checked the salt content...

Both me and my husband are BP victims. We have to be very careful with our diet. Gone are the days when our food taste good. It is all with reduced salt or no salt at all. My soups are strictly no salt but I put lots of vegetables and bones to make the soup taste sweater and pleasant. My tastebud is already trained to the change in my tasteless food.

hi beautyqueen26 I have used campbells lowered salt and its p retty good, but I love progresso's soups and some of them are much lower in salt. Also knorrs puts out a lot of great soups that are lower in salt, you have to make them from ther knorr package but they are so tasty i quite often use them. I also make my own at times without any salt at all and lots of herbs and a little pepper.

Good Morning BQ.
Campbell's makes a soup called Select Harvest Light and it is my favorite. Ithas 480mg. sodium per serving. There are about 2 servings per can and range anywhere from 50 calories to 160 calories per serving. I really like these soups. There is a good selection, some of them being Roasted Chicken with Rotini & Penne Pasta, Savory Chicken with Vegetables, Southwestern-Style Vegetable, Vegetable and Pasta, and Vegetable Medley. There are quite a few others, too. The price on these soups are $1.25 and $1.45 per can.
I bought several cans of soup after I got off work this morning. Eating these soups is how I lost a little bit of weight, too. I usually have the whole can of soup for the meal. I makes a nice big bowl and is very filling.
Progresso also makes a soup that is low in sodium. I'm not sure about the milligrams...might be the same as the Campbell's. There are several kinds but are usually around $1.98 per can.
The salt that is used in these soups is the sea salt which is naturally lower in sodium content.

The person who makes the best low-salt soup in the world is my husband, Walker! :) If he canned it and sold it, he'd make a ton of money. He made one tonight on a ham hawk, and it was SOOOOOO GOOD! I love his homemade soup. I am not a fan of vegetable soup (i love other soups) but this one he made was fantastic! He really needs to can it and sell it. No salt added at all.
