Chocolate can cause Hypertension?

I really like chocolate especially the Cudburry white. Sometimes if i eat a lot i can't sleep and my friend told me that it can cause hypertension. Is it true?

I don't believe that. I believe it causes the opposite of hypertension. I get relaxed when I eat alot of chocolate so I don't see how it can do that. I make home-made chocolate milk shakes sometimes just to relax and even take away headaches. It does get rid of the headache for me. Chocolate also dilates blood vessels as theirs medical information about this. Thats probably what causes me to relax and help with headaches.

The only way I can see chocolate giving you high blood pressure is - like in the case of the Cadbury - you eat a lot of it and you have sodium induced hypertension OR you are very sensitive to caffeine.

I have not heard that eating chocolates could cause hypertension. From what I have read, those dark chocolates are good for the heart. Milk chocolates however can cause itchy throat if too much, and it's also a trigger for asthma. I am not sure about it.But I had read in a medical journal that dark chocolates are good for heart.

I dont think so that white chocolate can cause hypertension But it will cause somepeople nauseea especially the one who suffer from motion sickmess Believe me i have reserched on chocolates and with all my expirience i am telling you that if you have a problem with sugar intake, i.e. a class of people finds thier stomach rolling if they eat sweets if u fall under that category too avoid them and take them in small amount lse they are fine good luck
