It was going to happen to me this morning. A topic attracted my interest and I began typing a long paragraph before I realized that I have already answered the same post a few days earlier. I was in time not to post my message. Has this ever happened to you?

Yes I have posted a response to the same discussion. I post all my responses to my friends discussions first and then I go to the mylot digest and post to them too. I have come across some of my friends discussions in the digest but sometimes I don;t remember the discussion and I post again from the digest and then when it goes to post it comes up right under my first post and it doesn't change my count number so we don;t get credit for it.
So it is not a good thing to post twice to the same discussion because we don't get paid for it the second time. It doesn't really matter too much to me, but I do like to earn for my work so I try not to do it.
The problem for me is that I am all over the place when I post responses. I try to do a few from the day the discussions were posted and then I go to my old emails and post to some of those. Then I forget which ones I already posted to when I do some of the mylot digest discussions. Oh well, doesn't matter.

Yes this has happened to me on a number of occasions. Most of the time its when i had a connection error and the post posted twice and sometimes 3 times.I did not mean for this to happen and am not sure what the policy is for something like this.I have not do this for a while but am not sure if it is calculated as a post or not.A few times I actually responded to a discussion twice as I was on a roll and responded to so many that i must of not checked if i posted already.

There have been a few times that older discussions will pop up and I have gone to respond to them. I will read it and it starts to sound familiar. I will scroll through the comments to look to see if I had already posted. This happens when the discussions are a couple of months old. I don't think I have ever accidentally posted to the same discussion twice though. I try to catch it before that happens.

yeah it has some where else.. i rate all the discussions here that i respond to so that if i look up a discussion later i just have to look to see if its been rated so i know not to answer it again.. otherwise some discussions i would have to search through pages and prob miss mine and answer again.. not to mention i may have changed my opinion by the 2nd time i see it so i would look schitzophrenic lol.. but i have had a technical screw up on mylot and a few others have where it looks like the answer didnt go through and then reply again and both go through

Yes, I have had this happen to me. I was just about to answer a post when a phrase sounds familiar and I stop and check. It was a post I have answered before.

Yes, I tried it before. Frankly, I felt very embarrassed to it. Usually I will rate the discussion positive after I responded it. However, sometimes due to the technical problem, the rate didn't effect. So when I see the discussion again, sometimes I am not sure whether I have responded to it. Since it seems I haven't rated it, so I respond to it. Later I found that I already replied this discussion already.

yes that has actually happened to me. i don't have a habit of going through all the posts to a discussion. i usually read the discussion and post if i've got something to say. there was this discussion that i replied to months ago. i chanced upon it months later and responded again. after responding then i realised i've actually responded before. cheers ;p

Well no I dont think I have ever answered the same post twice unless I had something more to add. But what I do is if someone leaves a comment on my discussion I will write a comment under them and then it can continue the discussion like that. Hope what I said made sense.

No, I usually delete each response when I answer. That eliminates the problem.

Hi ronaldinu,
Yes, they are some users keep repeating their discussion, it maybe a week or two apart but it comes back. I noticed it when I rea their post so I just I don't post it.

i think it is quite natural that we keep writing and responding to so many discussions and we just cant remember all and hence it may happen that if we find the same discussion we will not be able to identify wheather we had answered to it before or not and hence we may mistake to reply it to that again. but tell em is there anything wrong if we reply to the same discussion?
it has happened to me that i had found the same discussion which i had answered it before but i have never answered it again as i could remember that i had answered it before.

Well, not yet. But inevitably it will happen sooner or later. The odds are in my favor. Or against me depending on how you view it. I'm forgetfull and I'm sure once I've posted enough, I'll start forgetting when and where I've posted before. If a topic intrests me once, I'm sure it will intrest me again once I forget about it. lol
