My rule of thumb is that if a site charges you to join (or work), it ian't legitimate. That goes for survey sites too. Two survery clubs that I am a member of, I-Say.com and MySurvey.com are both free. Another work at home company that lists available positions (all free)is: www.ratracerebellion.com. Several friends have been successful in getting some work at home business.

The only company I've ever heard off offering legit real work is chacha. Open to U.S residents only I think, unfortunately.

Anything that asks you for a credit card number or asks you to pay is likely a scam. I don't think you should be paying to work, even if they say that you will make a lot of money in the long run. Unfortunately, there are a ton of sites promising money, and many of those are scams.

NEC is a good work from home, home assembly company. It's not actualy on the internet, but you can get paid up to $450.00 for assembling crafts. It may take a few tries to get approved but you can keep trying until you are. I think you have to pay something like 45.00 for supplies, but it is refunded to you after you submit 400 pieces, and shipping costs are refunded as well. It's a legit home assembly company, one of the few non-scam ones I've found. I haven't been able to find any complaints about them and I know of several people who've gotten paid decent amounts from them. The labor is rather time consuming and a bit tedious though. Their website it magicalgift.com
