We have a lot of world class Filipino singers, like Lea Salonga, Martin Nievera, Gary Valenciano, Lani Misalucha, Regine Velasquez, Sharon Cuneta, Pops Fernandez, Ogie Alcasid, Janno Gibbs, Sarah Geronimo, Christian Bautista and a lot more, and now our new singing sensation Charice Pempengco.
I do have a favorite local singers. They are Martin Nievera, Gary Valenciano and Christian Bautista. I like all their songs..

I don't have a favorite because that would only be one but I really like to listen to the songs of and their voices too, Martin Nievera, Gary V. Ogie Alcasid, Regine Velasquez, Lea Salonga, Joey Ayala, The Apo Hiking, Vina Morales.

I have always been a Lea Salonga fan. When she went to play the role of Miss Saigon, it somehow affirmed my choice. It was also during those years when Regine Velasquez was a yet a struggling singer, people labeled her as the Promdi.
Then I stopped becoming Regine's fan because she started transforming into someone -- she no longer was the Promdi that she used to be, until I guess early this year when I saw her live and sang the song Sana Maulit Muli. I realized that her singing skills did not change really.
