I have a friend who is 7 months pregnant right now and she would always look at the mirror and say..I am pregnant and I am ugly..Why do "some" women thought of that. When I was pregnant I was already prepared to all the changes that will happen to my body and with the way I look.Well I never felt ugly when I was pregnant but I felt insecure bec.I have a big tummy and can't wear sexy clothes. But I never wore maternity clothes.I have collections of jumpers, leggings,I wore sexy loose spaghetti straps the only thing that's wrong with the way I look was my tummy...bec.it was too big. I told my friend that it doesn't matter if she has big tummy, she has to take care of her looks as well, she has to put on some make up or what just for her to think that nothing has change with the way she looks except for her tummy which is about to explode in few months. why do pregnant women think that they are ugly when they are pregnant? It's good that my friend talked to me and made her feel beautiful and all of us gave our share of experiences and made her feel that the only difference between a regular sexy girl and a pregnant woman is the curve or the coca cola body....and we all laughed.

it's normal for pregnant women to feel that way. it's their hormones that make them change. they are being too emotional. been there, done that. i thought i was the ugliest person ever. felt worse after the pregnancy too. i guess its called post partum depression. :)

I, on the other hand, felt the opposite. When I was pregnant, I felt so pretty and everybody was telling me that I was glowing. They even told me that I must be having a baby girl coz I really looked nice when I was pregnant. I did have a baby girl but I feel that it has nothing to do with how I felt when I was pregnant. I know most women feel ugly when they are pregnant but I guess this couldn't be helped since there are so many changes in a woman's body during pregnancy. Aside from some areas of the skin darkening, there are parts of the body that swell due to water retention. To top it off, a woman may feel ugly because of hormones. A pregnant woman's hormones go crazy and makes them feel so many things at the same time. So, a woman can be very sensitive or emotional during pregnancy and this can be attributed to hormones.

Yup that's why we constantly remind our friend that soon she'll be fine and can have the curves back and the nose will change too....such a beauty conscious friend.hehehe. I remembered when I was pregnant with my youngest son,I was so pale.I was like a pregnant snow white. My friends told me that I gained a lot of weight and it made my skin stretch that it made my color so pale to anemic look.lol.But I was happy with all my pregnancies.

I always think pregnant ladies are beautiful and sexy, it's just natural beautiful. I am 7 month pregnant now, though I'm having a big tummy, I think I'm still pretty, especially when I think of my baby, and it makes me feel myself very lucky. When you are happy, then you always look at yourself a pretty person.

I have been pregnant 4 times. I felt more insecure than ugly most of the time. There were times that I felt ugly toward the ends of my pregnancies. I am not sure why. I think my body image has a lot to do with it. I have always been very small and thin. Pregnancy is the only time that I am not. It was hard for me to adjust. Hormones has something to do with how I felt most likely too. I didn't love being pregnant but I always love the outcome!

I never felt ugly too.The only thing that changed with my physical appearance was my tummy, with the way I dress up it's still the same.People wouldn't believe that I was pregnant bec. my body frame was still the same.

I rad somewhere that women are at their most beautiful state when they are pregnant. And that I believe. The fact that there is a baby in her tummy and she has shown to the world that she has embraced motherhood and willing to undergo the sacrifices of being a mother make her more than beautiful in my sight. So when I got pregnant I forgot about the shape, and the curves that were lost for the time being... My happiness over the thought of a wonderful gift of God living inside my tummy is worth more than all sexy bodies could have.

Well my friend is actually sexy prior to being pregnant. She still wears sexy clothes despite having a big tummy. But she just can't stand her nose that's getting bigger like a killer tomato and for her it changes the way she looks. For me it's alright to be pregnant and i know that I can have my shape back as soon as i give birth. My friend is some sort of a fashionista girl so it was hard for her.
