It all happened in the church. I took my son to church. It was Children's day and so there was no sunday school. So the church had all songs for children during the service. My son is 21/2 years old. He ran around in the church and ran to the front as my husband was one among those leading the worship. One woman shouted at my child that my child got afraid and started crying loudly that I found it hard to control him. Now this is not the first time that she had done this. Last time I never replied a word. But today's incident made me feel very bad. I called her up and asked after comming back from church. I asked " What was wrong? Why she is shouting? etc". She replied "You are crazy, called me bad words(Which I cannot even write here as it is too bad according to mylot's terms of use), "Worthless to handle a 2 year old" etc etc. It made me angry and I asked who she was to judge me.
I told her not to talk to my son again and disconnected the phone. A lady in her 40's can shout at the top of the voice to a 2 year old to the extent that he got frightened. A lady who was supposed to show love, patience and fruits of the holy spirit showed her impatience. Christian mothers! What to do? Advice me on this.

In my opinion, what you did was just right. Of course, that is your son. You would depend him especially that he was frightened until he cried. Children are naturally naughty and vibrant. They don't know how to behave most of the times. What that lady did to your son should not be tolerated. There are always proper approach to children on how to make them do what you want them to.
Talk to that lady the nice way, let her realize that you were hurt with what she did.
Regards!

when, i am not a mother as i have no children yet (even if i get some in the future, i won't still be a mother, but a father
)
i am sorry to hear about the women did to your kid. i think the children is the most welcomed people before god.
let us read the quote. it's from john's.
18:15 And they took their children to him, so that he might put his hands on them: but when the disciples saw it, they said sharp words to them
18:16 But Jesus sent for them, saying, Let the children come to me, and do not keep them away, for of such is the kingdom of heaven.
18:17 Truly I say to you, Whoever does not put himself under the kingdom of God like a little child, will not come into it at all.
as the church is the home of god, the children should be the most welcomed people also in the church. how can we expel the ones who will inherit the kingdom of heaven from the church due to their natural behavior? children are children. they are always active and it's their nature to always move. you cannot force them to stays sitting for a long time unless they get what interests them. i think god will not be angry (instead, he will be happy) to see the children showing their joy in his home. it means the children feel comfortable in the church. that's a good sign, right?

Encouraging words for me. My son always wants to show the joy and move around. Since he is still young to understand about prayer I cannot even do much. But I will pray about it and do as God guides me. Thanks for the advice.

Some ladies are like that. Take it simply as one of the many incidents of life. Teach your son to behave calmly in front of that lady. Have you seen the Indian English movie Mr & Mrs Iyer? Watch there is a character among the sojourns in the bus. She is also like this.
