of course casuals would be a better choice...but a care should be taken while choosing the casuals...they should not be casual to so much extent that degrades the dignity of organisation..

Hi there tousif1988! I think that this really depends on the nature of business of the organization. There are offices that allow their employees to be in their casual wear. This is probably because the nature of business need not prescribe a uniform. For as long as they have parameters as to what casual clothes are acceptable and unacceptable, I think that would be fine. There are also those who would require their employees to be in their prescribed uniform. In the organization I work for, we are required to wear prescribed uniforms from Monday to Thursday then corporate or formal attire on Friday and Saturday. Other departments in the organization are allowed to wear casual or semi-formal clothes on Fridays and Saturdays though.

corporate look - men and women in suit
Hi there! In my opinion the dress code for work places should be the formal look or more appropriate term is the corporate look. That's collared polo shirt, a suit and a tie. For me that's the best outfit an employee can wear when going to work. Shirt should always be collared. Ciao!

Hi tousif1988, my company didn't care on the dress code but not slipper. Of course, even there don't have rules to control, but is our responsible not to wear too sexy (for lady) and too lousy (for men) because somehow that's our workplace. Also, wearing nice and tidy is a respect to people and also it give good impression to people. Thus it might help in certain extend when it comes to work related issue or request.

It really depends on what type of work you are into. Corporate people wear corporate clothes. Teachers wear their uniforms, etc. It also depends on the work environment like do you go to the field? that is, not in the office like engineers who go to construction sites. In most of my work I wear casual clothes and I do field work in communities and I wear comfortable clothes like jeans shirt and rubber shoes. It's what is appropriate that really counts and not making a fool of ourselves.

It is according to the type of business. For example if i walk into a lawyers office and everyone is running around in cutoffs and t-shirts i am not trusting them to take my problem seriously and going right back out the door. On the other hand if it is a sports shop i wouldn't think anything about it.

i think at workplaces people should be wearing formal clothes.casuals don't suite them at place of work.i know its comfortable but that is when you are not working.when you are in formal you will get more respect at workplaces.

most every job requires a dress code, but a pressional dress for a man is a jacket, slacks, ane tie ,for a woman if she is wearing pants then she need to have a jackets most company expect you to look professinal and wear a conventional suit and tie whenever you deal wuth the public ,groups of employees,or representatives of associated corporations, some positions sucn as retailsales, can be more relaxed-but you should still be more formal than most of th epeople you will be dealing with.
