I have several tops, mostly knit that have what appear to be a grease spot on them. I always get these and I don't know how to remove them. I apply ammonia by spray directly to each spot but they just don't go. i wash it either hot or cold but they still don't go. they are old by now and it appear that i will have to replace all the top, which are in good condition otherwise. Anyone have any suggestion on removing them that I might not have tried ? Thank in advance .

Place tissue under the item and sprinkle unscented baby powder or talc on the spot. Wait at least 24 hours before shaking it all off, and the stain will probably be gone. If it's too stubborn to go away with the powder, a dry cleaner will have to do the job.
