horror flicks and suspense thrillers thrived the movie industry for years, if not decades now. there have been good horror flicks over the years. the classics would include: the exorcist. and the contemporary would include: shutter and the grudge... of all these emerging horror flicks i find grave differences in cinematic styles. likewise, in the advent of remakes many asian horror films are now being made into HOLLYWOOD versions such as that of THE EYE... now, which gives you more spooks and chills: ASIAN HORROR FILMS or HOLLYWOOD HORROR FILMS...

I love asian horror movie especially Thai movies (because I'm Thai Hee Hee). I love Hollywood movie too, but the remake version of Asian movie are not better than the original version. In my opinion, it is different of culture. Most of Asian horror are making you scaring inside of your mind. In some Asian movies you can't see any ghost, but you scare because you think 'There 's something...". Something you can't see with your eyes, but you can see it with your mind.

well, i think asian horror films are spookier. you won't hear screams and that's what makes it scarier. i saw hollywood films and remakes but i never receive that particular chill factor. hollywood horror films always feature screaming ladies.

If you will ask me, I really like hollywood films. It's just that, the quality of the movie is unquestionable. I did not say I don't like asian movies or i am putting down asians because i am asian too. But i just want to say what's really on my mind. When buying a tape, i would really buy englush horror films but i do salute some asian films because they do have some good films.

i guess, asian horror films are scary because you don't know what will happen next. Hollywood offers gruesome horror films---and theya re good at it.
