I'm not a christian. But I have read from Christian sites that Jesus is for all mankind and he came to save the humanity. But while reading about the Bible history I have read that, the Bible were wrote by different apostles with inspirations from God via holy ghost. And When I read further it is saying that the writings of these apostles are added to bible because those writers has been recognized as PROPHETS. Normally prophets receives messages from God. i.e. the text in Bible were written by Prophets before and after Jesus, Bible is not always the teachings of Jesus alone, but also the teachings of other prophets as well. So as per Christianity there is no correct line for the end of prophecy. That is what I understood. You can correct me if I'm wrong.

I think that sounds like truth. I guess that must mean there are prophets today. I was just wondering if anyone knew who they were. Do you think every pastor or priest is a prophet? Thanks for sharing your insights and happy mylotting.
Does your religion believe in prophets?

I'm a Muslim, we believe in all prophets and no distinction between them. Adam, seth, noah, abraham, david, moses, jesus, mohammad, etc.were prophets.
Prophets are humans, but they are chosen by god and assigned to a generation or mankind to guide the people with God's teachings. God had given them miracles to prove that they are are propohets.
Priests and pastors are not prophets, they just learned from seminary.
Cheers.
