how many times have you already changed your mobile phones?

i had changed, swapped phones 4 times in five years. the first two times was because i lost them both. the other one was a free for a postpaid line. and the last was the only time i tried to upgrade to a 3G camera phone. i had been planning to upgrade again but i'd often debate myself with regards to the impracticality. i know that even if i get a new model now, the value will just depreciate and a new model will come out in the market soon. 'bout you, are you hooked on changing your mobile phones from time to time?

Since I got my first phone in 2001, I've changed my cellphone just 3 times. My cellphones do seem to have excellent longevity when I take care of them. Most probably, I think it's because I don't use them that much. Even before, when I got my first cellphone (it was a Nokia 5110), I rarely use it for fun. I just use 'em when I need to. Plus, I'd always have something else more important to buy than change my phone. My current phone (a Nokia 6288) has all I need as of the moment and it's been with me for almost 1 1/2 years now. I don't see myself upgrading anytime soon though. Take care!

Yeah, that phone was really sturdy. New models are gonna depreciate in time and I don't need the new phones' features. Well, when it really comes to what I need, I just put before the things I need. But of course, I slip as well and I do give in sometimes but I always think first before doing/buyig something. Take care my friend.

hi zeroflash. i heard that 5110 is the most durable from Nokia. i congratulate you for being able to get over the trend-addiction. i mean those new models are very tempting, really. i think you're a responsible person, i mean practicality and responsibilty comes together right? hope to hear more from you. hve fun!

I change my phone once a year. I don't look for the latest model, instead, I look for a model that has "matured" from the firmware point of view. I prefer an older model that has few or hasn't any problems with the firmware instead of a newer model that has lots of bugs and system crashes.

I think I changed about more than 10 times. I used to change when a new model came out. But them it came to a point where new models came popping up too fast that I couldn't keep up anymore. So that's when I slowed down and stuck to one kind for at least 2 years. I'm happy with my phone now.

hi jammyt. i see you also follow the trend. ain't it frustrating when you get a new model and have it depreciate almost overnight? thanks for your reply and enjoy your day!

I have been using this mobile of mine for the past four years. My first ever!! It's so close and dear to me. Infact I have got few long lasting relationships only while using this ones. It's a very basic model. My dad very recently asked me to change my mob,but I said a big NOOOO to him. Will ofcourse buy a new one once I start earning. But will never give this one for exchange. It is very close to my heart and will always be,emotionally attached to this small, cute black device Cheers

hi there savitha. i am sorry if this reply took me long. i want to thank you first for sharing, and i admire your loyalty to your gadget. sometimes, i wonder how we can be so attached with our things, but you see, when we really get to be with somthing or someone for a long time, we begin to live with it. Good luck to your earnings and say my hellos to your family! have a great day!
