hi everyone. i had recently checked my books and it came to my attention that there was on there that i have started long ago and never came to read the end of the story. it's the FORBIDDEN TRUTH. it has something to do about religion and faith and the practices. i remembered i didn't finish it because i also got one other book on that same day i bought it which was more interesting. and then i got another one after. do you also have one to finish?

hi again pimagro. i admire you for really finishing all those books. i mean that is impressive a patience in your part. or likely, you choose interesting books first-hand. thanks for yur response and have a good day!

I usually finish what I've started reading. A book has to almost put me to sleep several times for me not to finish it. I recently finished Marilynne Robinson's GILEAD which actually did put me to sleep. She writes beautifully but there was almost no action in that book. One beautiful description after another without much plot can get pretty boring. I probably shouldn't have even bothered finishing the book but I did.

hi irisheyes. a test of patience, that book seems. some beautiful words and no action, it should be featured in magazine instead of a novel. thank you fro sharing, have a good day!

When I was a kid, I used to want to read a lot of different books and then when I started to read them I found them boring and I'd stop reading them half through. Sometimes I'd come back several times over and over again to try and start reading it again and then I'd get bored and stop reading it. I do have a few books now that I'm reading at once that I need to finish reading. I'm just so busy with other things that I don't always have time to finish reading them.

hi angel. i know someone who is like you. she is very fond of new books and is always inteerested into reading one but always got lost in between. i guess some books are interesting enough we can't even let go of them and some people busy enough who are happy simply scanning trhough it. thanks for sharing. hope to hear more from you.

I've got a number of books that I started and haven't got back to finishing them, like Nobody Lives Forever (Edna Buchanan), Romeo (Elise Title) and Rule of Four (Ian Caldwell). I suppose they were either boring or slow-moving, and I must have left them aside to move onto more interesting books!

hi lazeebee. that's a very interesting avatar you got there. i see you know exactly what kind of books you want to read. i mean, it can really be a waste of time reading such boring books when youcould otherwise read the more substantial ones. well, i hope i can get over my habit of really trying to finish one despite the laziness in the plot. take care!

I never finished Oscar Wilde's "The Picture of Dorian Gray" because it's just too boring! It's a great classic story and I've seen movie version of it, but the book just spends too much time on petty details and I gave up halfway through. Whenever I'm reading something I insist on either finishing it or quitting it for good before I start something else. There aren't many I've quit without finishing but that's one of them that I did.
