I am always n front of the computer and it is needed for my role in our company. I need to eat lots of food that are good for the eyes so my eyes will remain clear and healthy. The following food seems to be best in ensuring that all that time spent staring at a 17 inch screen doesn’t wear your eyes out. 1. Strawberries: As with the other fruits on this list, strawberries help your eyesight. If you’re glaring at your computer all day or just enjoy watching a lot of TV, you’re going to need all the help you can get. Eating strawberries has also been linked to preventing cancer. 2. Carrots One cup of chopped carrots will give you six times your recommended daily value of Vitamin A. They improve eyesight, especially in the dark. Rumor has it that carrots will also make your eyes sparkle. 3. Smoothies: Smoothies made with real fruit are a tasty, filling way to take in a significant amount of fruits. You’ll feel like you’re indulging in a naughty snack, but you’re not. Find a Smoothie King near you! 4. Flaxseeds: If you’ve been working or studying all day, your eyes are probably feeling a little dried out. Flaxseeds help prevent dry eye syndrome, allowing you to feel fresh even after a hard day. Do you have anything to add?

Hi Muelitz.. You have a good discussion there.. Everyone like us, who uses computer in our daily life and spent more than five hours a day, really needed to eat foods with lots of vitamin A, aside from our daily intake of multivitamins. We need to take care our body specially the part of it that we usually use. We need to take good care of it to maintain its good functionality. I know that strawberries and carrots are both a good source of vitamin A. But I never knew anything about Smoothies and Flaxseeds. Now I know they can also help to improve and maintain our good eye sights. I can also add some foods and vegetables to your list that I know are also rich in vitamin A, they are squash, papayas, mangoes and tomatoes. They are also good food that can provide us Vitamin A to maintain our good eye sight.. Have a nice day..

Thanks for sharing this, Muelitz. I've been very concerned with my eyes though. I know carrots and strawberries do help. But I wasn't aware of the smoothie until now. I will definitely feed my smoothie craving soon.
