A Fair Accusation...

I have often been accused of being too willing to take on the rough issues here at mylot. I consider that a fair accusation. I also consider it a high compliment. Are you willing to take on rough issues here at mylot? Or are you more likely to write about things that are less controversial? (not that there is anything wrong with either, I just thought it would be fun to discuss... which is what I usually use as a basis for all my threads)

I would like to know what a tough issue looks like so that I can see for myself if I can handle them. That might be fun. Throw me a tough issue and let's see if I will throw in the towel. Cheers!!

Then go to the list of articles I've written, if those aren't rough issues to you, then man you must live a rough life! ;~D

I figure we are all different.. I myself like the more serious discussions.. not the personally serious, but those big no no's.. religion and politics! After all you're not supposed to even broach them in polite society/'real'life.. and they're still my favorite topics! Sittin' around talking about this and that, doesn't interest me much at all! But as soon as the topic turns to politics or religion or philosophy.. history or science.. I'm all ears and (and mouth! hopefully not too much mouth!) I don't worry about people thinking I'm a nerd or anything (I know I am!) as it takes all kinds! If all there was at mylot was chit chat.. I wouldn't last too long..

I like tongue-in- cheek stuff and right now's a good time to make fun of politicians. I find Sarah Palin very easy to joke about but her supporters get really touchy so I find my self unintentionally in the rough stuff. It's amazing to me how people can poke fun at every candidate out there and then expect their gal to be off limits.

I do post and/or respond to a controversial topic every once in a while but I would have to say that for the most part I am more likely to post and/or respond to discussions that are not controversial. There are really only a couple of controversial issues that I care enough to argue or debate about. Not just here on mylot, but anywhere.

I tried to stay on the light side of things but I like mixing up in controversy because it prompts me to learn and research the subject more but also puts a limit on it because I can get carried away with certain subjects to the point that if I don't stop I'll surely go crazy. I'm a passionate person who like to learn and loves debating so I respond to controversy but start general interest for the most part.
